Being Content No Matter

Strength

Philippians 4:11-13

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Being  content in almost anything we do is very hard, or even what we have. We can have little or nothing, or a whole lot, would we still be content?

Paul was content no matter what, he has been going from place to place spreading God's word but even in the midst of persecution, going hungry, no shelter, and more he stays content in the Lord. Are we content? I to have had little or nothing, and have had plenty. I panicked the first time, was worried the second, but then I start realizing that no matter what we have in life, nothing can compare to having Jesus, He says all things shall pass, I try to remember that, even trials shall pass away they won't last forever.

Keep looking at what you do have, praise God for it and go about each day praying and praising.

      Thank you for the post. This also reminds me of a passage in Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have............Because God said, "Never will I leave you; Never will I forsake you.

      Then there is a human passage, "it's not having what you want, It's wanting what you have."

      Remembering to turn to God first is the hardest, but he has the answers and will fill our needs.

      Thank you for sharing this wonderful hub. We should be contented in whatever situation we are in whether having plenty or nothing. We should find our treasure in Jesus alone knowing the material things of this world are only temporal. Jesus is one great treasure that we can never lost. This is one lesson I have learned after we encountered the strong typhoon "Ketsana". Praise God for His great mercy.
