Being Happy

Updated on January 15, 2009

When a person is appreciative of the simple things in life, they have a greater chance of experiencing the inner happiness that resides within their own being. This happiness is always with a person and cannot get taken away once it is real.

My personal thought are:

The Fact that we exist and we can never know how we came into existence is the miracle.  There is no doubt that we are part of the unlimited and the eternal cosmos.  We are members of existence, eternal, blissful, and full of knowledge.

It is how we internalize and comprehend the words that we choose to utilize that will bring forth the power from within each of use.  For example, existence means all that there is and can possibly ever be.  It incorporates all Universes, dimensions, spiritual realms, material world, thought, ideas, dreams, galaxies, black holes, all known and unknown knowledge. To exist and know who you are is to live in the absolute truth.

There is only now.  If a person wants to "be happy" then they have to be happy now. They have to be happy at each point in the now, otherwise they will be chasing happiness and they will never catch happiness because they look outside themselves :o.

In this life as a human, food, water, air, shelter, good health, peace of being, should be all an adult human need to be happy.  A person must have love for themselves before they can ever love anyone else.  I mention this because there are emotional predators in this world.

This is a temporary physical world and there is nothing we can do to make this world last forever, according to physics. Therefore, an intelligent person internalizes that the body is temporary, and train their mind to accept the reality of their own physical death. Live life with the greatest appreciation for the grand miracle and work toward expanding the soul, the eternal part that will move the "real" we forward through time and space eternally.

I exist and I have the right to exist. You exist and have the right to exist. The goal is not to let our egos prevent us from existing in peace and harmony.  All the material things are there to satisfy our egos if we see them as and end and not as a means.  Once the physical objects are used to bring about better for the whole then they become transcendental.

There are close to 7,000,000,000 humans on this planet at this time and each one is unique and special.  That is the absolute truth, it is up to each one to realize that in them.  In all honesty despite a person’s intelligence, wealth, fame, strength, position in society etc.. All living beings have a spirit and that is what makes them equal.

When dealing with absolute "it is what it is".  There are no substitutes.  Everything in existence is exact.  There are no repeats. One shot that is it. There are no second chances.

For example, your first step as a human being is you first step as a human being. It is what it is and there can never be a first step as a human being for the same person.  Therefore, it would be best to take care and put the best of thoughts into all of our actions.

I hope these thoughts meet the reader well.  These are some of the key point that I have learned and I am excited to share them with everyone hoping that they help others move forward to ward "finding" peace and happiness.

I really like the honesty and simplicity of this hub as well. You seem like you are happy and at peace. The first picture really shows that! I really like the second pic too! Thanks for sharing your learnings, Darrel. This my first comment on hubpages :-)

I like this hub. I agree that simplicity is where happiness can be found. Also, being comfortable with being content, but not so comfortable that one becomes idle. Creativity requires action, and much happiness can be found in creating something.

Oh your thoughts have met me well for you write with clarity, simplicity and a refreshing laid back attitude. Yes I agree that the most important thing that needs repair is the inner self.  One cannot aspire for positive vibes around him if he himself radiates negativity. Nice thoughts. Thanks for sharing :D
