The Blood on Your Hands for Selling Out Jesus!
No Ability to Trick God
"30 Pieces of Silver & Ananias and Sapphira"
"And said to them, What will you give me, and I will deliver him to you? And they covenanted with him for 30 pieces of silver."
Matthew 27:5 - And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
Acts 1:18 - Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
Yes....his guts gushed and splashed out. DOA.
Do you know the story of Ananias and Sapphira? You should read it again if you have forgotten what this story speaks about. The implications and repercussions of this husband and wife team who thought they were smarter than the MASTER!
God killed Ananias and Sapphira. Do you know why? God has the power to give breath and also has the power to remove it. He has the power to allow you to linger on because of His great love, mercy and compassion. He does give you time to repent....but if you do not repent and you refuse the ultimate last call for repentance... God says "ENOUGH!" He surely sends that final blow should you not stop and turn away from wickedness. That is just a matter of fact jack. Don't be messing with God. He ain't playing no more with people.
You can find the truth in ACTS 5 of the Word of God. I do love the JUSTICE that the GREAT I AM displays throughout this story of Ananias and Sapphira because nobody can stand against the God of Israel and think they have tricked Him or ripped Him off without receiving great consequences upon their heads. It didn't matter how many people that Ananias and Sapphira tricked down here, they could not trick God.
The Holy Spirit
Yes, our God is a God of mercy, love and compassion BUT please don't forget that He is also a God of JUSTICE and when you fear God....well you just know that trying to rip off God and God's people in need is just not the way to go...unless you want your guts spilled out. Sounds gross but it is as simple as that! Who is to blame for their lack of guts? Certainly not God!
Another great introspective thought and important teaching of the story of Ananias and Sapphira was the way the people acted back then. They cared and loved each other and they were truly of one mind and one heart. This early church was so tight knit, working together as a fine tuned "team" that the Holy Spirit was very EVIDENT in everything they did and they were surely filled with the Holy Spirit. Everything they owned was not of their own but of God's and they KNEW IT and acted accordingly!
Don't mess with people with the Holy Spirit inside them because you can never win against God because yes, it really is GOD INSIDE THEM. Peter had God inside him. Simple enough to understand. Uh-oh for Ananias and Sapphira. They were not true believers, only pretending. If they truly were believers in God, they would have never done what they did. They would have had great fear and knew what would happen if they chose to come up against GOD and think they could steal from Him, as well as think they could dupe Peter. Not a chance.
God's Team Doesn't Steal From God
God's team back in those days sold their houses and land and the money was given to the Apostles. What did the Apostles do with that money? They took it to those in need. It is an AWESOME and beautiful thing to help others in need. This is GOD and the evidence of God inside another. You will know them by their fruit.
Now if you know the story of Ananias and Sapphira...They sold their field and they held back some of the money/profits which were ALL supposed to go to the Apostles to be portioned out for those in need. Ananias showed up putting on a real bogus show for Peter, as he dropped a portion of that money down. Ananias said that it was "ALL of the money" when in fact it was not ALL of the money. This was a very big ooopsies when you are standing in front of a man of God (Peter)who has the Holy Spirit inside him. Ananias was a very good liar but he didn't take into account that GOD was actually real and that Peter knew he was lying because The HOLY SPIRIT does not lie and God was residing in him. It is as simple as that!
Some say that this husband and wife were believers and that they were saved....no I don't personally believe that they were because they would have had a GREAT conviction inside themselves for doing this. They would have had the Holy Spirit inside them and they would have known that God was not going to allow it. He took their breath from them. Did they have time to repent? Yes. Right up to that very moment that they dropped the money at the feet of Peter and continued to lie. They could have told the truth and threw in the rest of what they had kept and atoned for it but they did not-they refused to. They refused to take God seriously. We are in the 'End Times' you best take these things seriously.
Oh Yes. That is the Price that I Will Sell Out Jesus For
"Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. With his wife’s full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles’ feet.
Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”
When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard what had happened.
Then some young men came forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him.
About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had happened. Peter asked her, “Tell me, is this the price you and Ananias got for the land?”
“Yes,” she said, “that is the price.”
Peter said to her, “How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.”
At that moment she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband. Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about these events."
The most important part of this story is that GOD will always take what is bad (the death of this couple and their lack of repentance) and turn it into a teaching lesson for the good of honoring HIM only. GREAT FEAR SEIZED THE PEOPLE! Oh yes...I bet it did and they should have had great fear in God.
Many out there in the world better have great fear when they steal from God...because you could find yourself with your guts gushed out if you don't. Not a nice way to say it but a very realistic way to explain it.
Yeshua is the HEAD OF THE CHURCH, and you can be assured that He WILL judge and bring judgment upon the wolves to make sure that HIS TRUE church is kept pure and sanctified, especially in these times which we know to be the "End Times."
