Beverli Lainda Rhodes (52) reports that she developed psychic abilities after the 2005 London suicide bombings. She has been riding in a train on the Piccadilly line and was seriously injured in the attack, including a head injury.
Rhode's job at the time had been to assess London's vulnerability to terrorist attacks. London had just been chosen to host the 2012 Olympic games and Rhodes on en route to a meeting about possible terrorist threats to that event.
Twenty-six people dies in the train and 52 in the coordinated bombings that occurred on that day. Rhodes feel that something changed in side her during the attack and the time afterward when she was trapped, seriously injured, in side the train carriage. Her injuries required expensive treatment, causing her to almost lose her home.
A Developing Talent
By 2008 Rhodes had begun experiencing moments of intense connection with people she had just met. (However one wonders how much of a surprise it could have been as she describes herself as a ninth generation Shaman and healer.) She now provides services such as aura therapy.
Rhodes now works as a Shaman. She is particularly associated with horses and equine therapy. She also practices as an animal communicator.
She is also an active spokesperson on a number of issues such as lesbianism. Including raising awareness of how sexuality can change in mid-life.
She also advocates for survivors of the 7/7 London bombings. She serves as chair of the Survivors' Coalition Foundation.
Rhodes remained concerned about potential terrorist attacks at the Olympics, but they proved to be unfounded.
