Confucius Famous Quotes
Confucius was a Chinese teacher, editor, politician, and philosopher who lived from 551-479 BC. His philosophy was based off of morality, social relationships, justice, and truth. Confucius was a Chinese thinker, who's ideas have influenced so many of the Chinese race.
"Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life."
When you have a job you love, it doesn't feel like work. You must do what makes you happy. I always feel it is good to keep busy, and if you enjoy what you do it makes it that much better. Even back then, Confucius understood the importance of doing what you enjoy.
"Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it."
You can find beauty in everything. Just the fact that we are able to perceive what is in front of us is amazing. The fact that there are a variety of different things to look at on this planet is beauty in itself. People only view things from their own perspective, they are pre-programmed to only see what the know. Anyone can break their programming, but it takes seeing something from a different perspective.
"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."
We must get up when we fall. People make mistakes all the time, it is inevitable. The problem isn't making a mistake it is learning from it. We can not grow unless we learn. The best way to learn is too make mistakes. We learn best from experience. People give advice off of past experience. When you fall and get back up you become stronger.
"Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated."
It is in our nature to make easy things complicated. Although, I believe we are guided in this direction, by people in power. People who yield power make life complicated for others so they can gain more power. Life is easy, all we need to do is let people be free, peace, happiness, and prosperity will follow shortly after. Freedom is the most simplistic form of life. Rules and laws just make things complicated. If there has to be some sort of structure it should only be one law in two parts, mind your business and don't harm others.
"A superior man is modest in his speech, but exceeds in his actions."
People are recognized by actions, not by speaking. Once a person speaks as if they are like everyone else, but commits acts that are superior than normal will gain respect. Don't just speak act. Actions definitely speak louder than words. Don't just speak, do. No one wants to hear what you can do, people want to see you do it.

"I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand."
It really is simple, people tell you something, you forget. You see something, you believe it. Perception is everything, the way you look at things is the way you remember things. Every image you see sticks with you in memory. You can never put anything into context unless you experience it. If you haven't had an experience, you can't completely understand it.
"If I am walking with two other men, each of them will serve as my teacher. I will pick out the good points of the one and imitate them, and the bad points of the other and correct them in myself."
All we can do is learn from each other. I always try to learn as much as possible, the best way is to listen to everyone. Watch how others act and improve based off of what you see. Find what makes them bad or good and improve from there.
"The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence."
If you work hard at something and never give up, not only will you learn, you will succeed. Persistence is key, it may not turn out how you expect it to, doesn't mean it will turn out bad. If you want to reach happiness, you must work hard. Hard work pays off and I know from experience.
"In a country well governed, poverty is something to be ashamed of. In a country badly governed, wealth is something to be ashamed of."
When you live in a country that is governed well, poverty becomes almost irrelevant, so if you are poor it seen as failure. When a country is governed bad, poverty is well established. There are fewer rich people in a poorly governed society. To govern society correctly, is to allow the most freedom possible.
"It does not matter howslowly you go as long as you do not stop."
Never give up. Even if it takes a long time, break it up into steps. A great example is HubPages, if you are here to make extra money, don't give up. It takes time. If you slowly build your hubs up you will see results. I know from experience, if you put in the work, the reward will come. It may take a long time, but the key is to never give up.
