Counting Instead of Cursing
Have you ever just had one of those days? You want to just cover your head with the blanket and not put your feet on the floor. Everything seems to go wrong; bill collectors calling, the house falling apart, your kids screaming and wanting and you are not able to cope.
Even worse, you start thinking you want to die. The car needs service; the computer has a virus; it seems the world is raining stress upon you and then...
You are telling that certain someone you always seem to be able to tell your problems and they say those words that just want to make you scream:
COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS.
How dare they!
With all that has happened or is happening; how can they tell me to count my blessings?
Everyone of us can count our blessings.
No matter our circumstance, you do have blessings! If you are reading this right now, you have more blessings than many other people. If you have a roof over your head and food in your belly, you have more blessings than many people. If you live in a country where you can worship God in your way, you have more blessings than many people. If you have transportation other than your two feet, you have more blessings than many people. If you have two legs and two arms, you have more blessings than many people.
See My Point?
Usually the difficulties you face when looked upon several months later seem miniscule in comparison to when you were facing them.
Yes, I still have days when depression hits. I still have days when it seems everything is a "lost cause", but counting blessings is the answer!
What is our greatest blessing?
God sent Him for all of us. He took the stress away years ago when He died and rose again.
This cartoon says so much about this message and I pray that you can count your blessings today. Just look around you!
I have had my share of stress, but I also have many blessings.
I want to share some of my blessings.
Share your blessings too! It may help bring you up. Remember God loves you; Jesus loves you and you are blessed!
