Hold On Weary Soldier
Dear Weary Soldier,
To the weary soul struggling in a fast pace society where everything seems a blur and an effort to survive.
You have become a Christian and you are on the job training learning faith and trust.
You have heard about heaven and all its splendor, yet your are surrounded by the waging war of the enemy harassing your soul.
Remember, this earth and all it holds are as finite as a flower that falls, dries and decays after the exodus spring. Then from it's barren seed brings forth many more beautiful colors; only earths end will be continued in heavens glories where moth or dust does not corrupt or thieves break in and steal.
Paul said, " I have fought...a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me on that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love His appearing. II Timothy 4:6-7
If you are saved living by the uncompromising Word of God then you have a crown awaiting you decked in jewels no jeweler could begin to describe. Your faithful services and holy stands for God are being recorded and etched in jewels prepared for your crown that Jesus Christ as King of Kings and Lord of Lords will reward you openly on heavens coordination day.
In World War II there was a triumphant day when the soldiers of England got to come home after intense battle. They lined them up and down the streets and the Queen walked in front of them. As she patted them on the soldiers she said, " Wounded soldiers, I thank you for your loyalty to England. For your faithfulness to your country I thank you." She then penned a ribbon on them. She walked down the line from one to another then another then stopped when she reached the end of the line where they had carried a man and laid him on a cot. He was laying there without any arms or any legs. His eyes were gone, he had almost lost life in battle. She knelt down before him, reached up took her crown off, placed it on his head and said, " I crown you the hero of England."
"Weary saint hold on just a little while longer, let no man take your crown!" "Hold on a little longer crowning day is coming for those who are watching and are loving His appearing."
In a world where evil is called good and good evil; The King from the portals of eternity is evaluating His children.
You may be battle scarred, missing members, tired and worn out from your journey; but on that crowning day you'll hear Him say, " Well done thou good and faithful servant!" With a robe of white and a crown of glory he will dub His heroes of heaven. It will be worth it my friend!
