Daniel's Impact

Daniel's Impact

"I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom, people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel"

"For He is the Living God and He endures forever; His Kingdom will not be destroyed , His dominion will never end ."

"He rescues and saves; He performs signs and wonders in the heaven and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of lions."

Those were the words of a Gentile king, who has seen the wonder of the God of Israel through His faithful servant Daniel. Daniel's uncompromising life made a tremendous impact to the Gentile world. Daniel loved God so much. He was not willing to compromise his faith. He was not willing to give up his acts of worship and adoration to the God of Israel. He was not willing to surrender his prayer life, he would fight for it, even it would cost his life.

So when the administrators and the satraps went as a group to King Darius to submit an agreement that the king should issue an edict and enforce the decree that anyone who prays to any God or man during the next thirty days, except to King Darius shall be thrown into the lion's den , Daniel was not very much moved. He had a solid confidence upon His God that he will not be abandoned because he was walking a blameless life. He went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day, he got down on his knees and prayed giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

Daniel did not stop worshipping God three times a day. He did not fear the lion's den. He had a solid faith and trust on his God. He was assured of God's protection upon his life for Daniel has a living faith and relationship with his God. God honored Daniel's love and reverence to Him. Daniel came out of the lion's den unharmed. God did send his angels and they shut the mouth of lions. The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the lion's den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den no wound was found in him, because he had trusted in his God.

After this, the God of Israel will never be the same again to King Darius . He was awed by the miracle he performed on Daniel . He must be real, he must be the true and living God. He is the eternal God whose kingdom will never end. Indeed Daniel's faith made a great difference. Because of Danile's uncompromising testimony, the king became a believer of the true and living God. Truly Daniel made a great impact on the king's life that changed him forever, from being a hargcore pagan idolater into a worshipper of the living and eternal God . Truly God is glorified in Daniel's life.

Many times I yearn to be like Daniel, a man that God anoints, whom experience the supernatural life in the spiritual realm, and walks with God in the most intimate ways. Mnay times this soulish life in the flesh is so attractive it draws us away from God, the source of life - the Alpha and Omega.

      Thanks for this wonderful reminder
