Delusional Christianity And Satan's Counterfeit Ekklesia.
Deception, delusion, destruction.
Delusion is more than deception. Delusion can be thought of as, "a fixed false belief". We might also think of delusion as being a curse from the Lord.
But wait, that is not all. In the end-times, the Lord has promised people will be given over to "powerful delusion". In other words, people are going to be caught up in a lie they cannot escape from.
So we see a progressive problem here; deception becomes delusion that locks people into destruction.
If this isn't sufficient to stop us in our tracks and cause us to seek the Lord with all our heart, mind and soul, then quite frankly, I don't know what is.
The cause of delusion.
My basic understanding of the reason we become delusional comes from reading Romans Chapter 1.
We might say that Romans Chapter 1 contains a promise; when we deliberately set aside the truth that God sets plainly before us (firstly through creation, secondly through the scriptures and finally through the Lord Jesus Christ) He gives us over to fixed false beliefs.
Delusion is caused by willfully turning a deaf ear to the Lord.
The Lord's way in delusion.
In the Old testament we see many accounts of false prophets leading people astray with their false messages. Today we see the same kind of thing, false teachers leading people astray with their false teaching.
But we need to pause here and think on this. God works through these things, it's one of the primary ways He judges His people. False prophets and false teachers are used (allowed) by God to separate the true from the false, the righteous from the wicked, the sheep from the goats.
False messages and false teaching reinforce deception to the point where it becomes delusion.
So the question we need ask today is this, "why is the Lord allowing so many false teachers to prosper with their false teaching?"
The root of the problem.
For me personally, false teachers and false teaching are not the root of the problem but just a consequence of it.
For me, the root of the problem is the ecclesiastical system, which replaces Christ and His ekklesia. This system is very easy to see because it's the same as any other human system:
- Formal use of power and authority.
- Routine and mechanistic ways of getting things.
- Predominance of one-way communication.
Jesus made it very clear in His words and actions that this system had no part in His kingdom.
Therefore, the ecclesiastical system is men rejecting the Lord's way to establish their own. It is men wilfully turning a deaf ear to the Lord.
Yet the ecclesiastical system claims to be founded and built in Christ. I can only come to one conclusion here; the ecclesiastical system is a counterfeit ekklesia.
Satan's counterfeit ekklesia.
For just over a decade I attended church "faithfully", not realising that even though the Pastor was born-again and his teaching true to scripture, I was submitting myself to a human system of relating to the Lord and a relating to others.
I even became part of the ecclesiastical system believing I was serving the Lord. Thankfully, the Lord created circumstances that soon revealed the reality. I was serving a system, a system that had teeth and it was eating me up. When it had enough of me (I think my system flavour wore off) it spat me out.
Now, every time I look back at my "ecclesiastical system" experience, I shake my head and tell the Lord I'm sorry. I still wonder how I could have been such a fool!
I can hear people saying now that the ecclesiastical system has been used by God for some great works in the past. I agree. I think the Lord has been gracious with us for about two Milena.
But now enough is enough. That same ecclesiastical system has been responsible for some of the worst behaviour and it has more often than not brought the Lord's Name into disrepute.
I am convinced that down through history, the Lord has been giving parts of the ecclesiastical system over to Satan. This is why various "moves" of God in the past have meant the Lord's people "coming out".
Now, today, The Lord is giving all of the ecclesiastical system (wherever it exists, not just in the church system) over to Satan's control.
The counterfeit ekklesia is now Satan's possession, to do with as he pleases.
The people that claim to be fulfilling the plans and purposes of God are now fulfilling the plans and purposes of Satan.
- Formation of a One-World Religion.
- Formation of a New World Order.
- Persecution of the Saints.
The vast majority of Christians today are, through the ecclesiastical system, caught up in a counterfeit ekklesia that is fulfilling the plans and purposes of Satan.
Shine Jesus shine
Fill this land with the Father's glory
Blaze, Spirit blaze,
Set our hearts on fire
Flow, river flow
Flood the nations with grace and mercy
Send forth Your word
Lord and let there be light.
(Song by Graham Kendrick).
Please take a moment now to consider some of the main messages coming from the ecclesiastical system today, concerning the end-times.
- Unity among all Christians.
- A great revival with signs and wonders such as the world has not seen before.
- All nations with Christ as head.
But the scriptures clearly show that we should expect the exact opposite:
- The Sun will go dark (revelation of the the scriptures will cease, the light of Christ will not be shining).
- The stars will fall (there will be a great falling away of believers).
- The moon will turn to blood (there will be great bloodshed amongst those loyal to Christ).
A counterfeit ekklesia has a counterfeit Christ. It offers counterfeit sacrifices on counterfeit altars and it preaches a counterfeit gospel that will soon be confirmed with counterfeit signs and wonders.
9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
(2 Thes 2 NKJV).
