Do not try to fit in
Jesus is my best friend
The rabbit does not belong with the wolves.
Now that you are a child of God you can’t fit in with that crowd anymore than a rabbit could fit in with a wolf pack. Now that you are a disciple you won’t go getting drunk or have one night stands or swear like a drunken sailor or be interested in the filth they spew out on TV or movies as entertainment.
Now that I am a member of Christ’s family I find the shows I used to like boring and offensive.
How many people watch these idiot shows on TV that they don’t really like but do so fit in at work during lunch breaks? You won’t be interested or waste time watching this drivel so you won’t fit in.
Try to talk with your friends or family about Jesus and see how fast you get the ice cold shoulder from them or receive the fiery darts of cruel sarcasm from them. They will reject you because you are different from them and people feel uncomfortable around those that do not conform to their way of thinking.
Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. Luke 6:22 New International Version
You can live opposite of what you profess, but you cannot live opposite of what you believe. Dallas Willard
Instead go to Bible study groups, youth meetings and other places where you can associate with Christians and God will direct you to people who will become your true friends.
When we accept Jesus as our savior we instantly become a part of a holy family. We are sons of God and daughters of God Joseph- Anthony: Green
Prayer: Please Jehovah Abba (God our Father) guide me to Christian friends to replace the old crowd that I can no longer hang out with. Please heal my heart from the pain of losing those friends and family and the strength to carry on Your way. I ask this my beloved in the name of my best friend, Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
