- Christianity, the Bible & Jesus
Do you have all three
The three steps.
T here are three steps to being a true Christian.
Step one is knowing your Bible, what it says and what it means. How much time do you study your Bible every day? Before you study your Bible, do you ask the Holy Spirit to open your mind to understand what is being said? Do you pray that your heart will be open to your relationship with Christ be expanded? If a husband and wife do not spend any time together, how much do they know each other? The same goes for parents. Well how can you know Jesus if you do not take time every day to read His word? I have met many Bible thumpers that can quote scripture off the top of their heads, yet their love for Christ and His family is as cold as a dead mans corpse. These are very judgmental people (quick to judge others but slow to judge themselves by the same judgment).
As we study our Bible we will love Jesus more and more. For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.Romans 15:4 New International Version How is your relationship with Jesus? Do you share your problems with Him, thank Him and sing praises to Him every day? Do you talk with Him throughout the day? Do you have a desire to talk about Him with others? What you love you talk about. Don’t you talk about your husband or wife, your children? Do you talk more about your favourite sports team or TV show or musical group than you do Jesus? I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. John 15:15 New International Version
The more we know Jesus the more the Holy Spirit guides us to Gods prepared path He has chosen for us. As you get in step with Jesus, perhaps He will move you to do something you don’t want to do. Do you want to hold on to a grudge instead of letting it go into Jesus’ hands and forgiving them? You may say well you don’t know what he or she did to me. Did they desert you like Peter did? Did they cruelly mock you like Jesus’ brother James did? Did the put nails in your hands like the Pharisee’s did Jesus? At Pentecost some of those that condemned Jesus repented and became Christians. Do you feel moved to go talk with someone from another culture or race but feel them below you? Jesus came from Heaven for you, can’t you cross the street for him? Do you feel like what Jesus is asking is a big sacrifice? Can it match His nail scared hands?
Be sure to fear (respect) the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart 1 Samuel 12:24 New International Version
A Christian is a love affair where we have a deep desire to know our lover and aspiration to serve Him on our path to Heaven. Joseph- Anthony: Green
Prayer: You are my Shepherd Jesus Nissi (God who leads the way). I trust You to guide me upon the predestined path You have chosen for me and to always provide the tools necessary to accomplish Your goals for me. I ask in Your great pathfinders name. Amen.
