"Don't Be The Victim anymore"
Don't Be the Victim Anymore"
"Don't Be The Victim Anymore"
In life sometimes bad things happen to good people and we don 't know the reason why certain thing happen. Many times thing happen to glorify God and to be a testimony for many of us. We all becomes victims of life's cruel games, but some how we stop the cycle of being the victim by choosing to change our attitude. we must always ask God for the help we need to get over being the victim. Being a victim hurts us and cause us to have anger toward our tormenter. The feelings that we have are natural pains that we feel when someone hurt or harm us. By the grace of God, we will have to forgive them their transgressions and try to move on with our life. I'm not saying it's going to be easy, because it want be, but if we remember what Jesus said to the people that persecuted him and crucified him on the cross. In all of his pain and frustration, he asked God to forgive them because they know not what they do.
Jesus knew they these people didn't know what they were doing when they crucified him, that is exactly why he forgave his tormentors. It's a lot to ask, especially if someone has purposely hurt or harmed you or messed up your life. Forgiveness is the last thing on our mind, when we have been hurt, but we can only get forgiveness and healing, if we first forgive our offender of his transgression. Through all of this pain and hurt, he found a way not to be the victim anymore. I'm not going to tell you that I never played the victim card, because I did, when I was in a abusive relationship of domestic violence. I felt abused and misused and battered for a long time, but through prayer I over came being victimized and became the victor. Now, I don't know what would have happen if someone had falsely accused me of doing something that didn't do. I probably would use the victim card again, but not without realizing that some good would have to come out of the situation, or God wouldn't have allowed it to happen to me, in the first place. We have to remember that sometimes things happen for the glory of God and to be able to testify, about how God brought us out of a really bad situation in life. We all go through times when we're victimized but through it all, God is there, even when we don't feel his presence, to bring us through it all, in the end. We can never count him out, but just believe he is our way maker and our constant problem solver.
