Don’t Listen to Them

Updated on June 26, 2012

Listen to the Right One

Listen to Him

There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual immorality.Likewise, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. Revelations 2:14-16 New International Version

Do you listen to and follow the “Prosperity Gospel” of some of the charlatans? You know the “Jesus wants you to have all the material blessings in this world.” Is that what Jesus teaches? Let’s have a look see.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21 New International Version

You see?

What Jesus wants for you is spiritual, not material. Your primary desire should always be to be focused on your relationship with God, not the temporary pleasures of this world. Money comes, money goes. BUT, the Kingdom of Heaven is eternal. You cannot serve two masters. Really, when you are seeking material wealth you are serving self instead of serving Jesus. Now there is nothing wrong with wanting a good job or comfortable life, just do not put it as your priority in life.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Sabbath (the Lord of the Heavens) guide me to keep my eyes focused on Heavens riches, not the empty meaningless riches of this world. I ask this in the name of my greatest treasure Jesus Pryyand (Jesus my Friend). Amen

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

Thanks for the reminder in keeping priorities. It's something that has to be posted in the heart and mind.
