Doomsday Preppers Going Underground

Things to consider

When The Ballon Goes Up And You Go Down!

My mind has been very focused on this lately! There are so many things to consider when making preparations for a bunker after all this is the last line of defense for you and your family. The ultimate goal is to preserve Life in a catastrophic event!!! I don't believe that only the rich will or should survive! Prepping should not consume all of your financial resources. The Bible says

Philippians 4:5

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

(Top Secret)

First and foremost building a bunker should be done wit as much discretion as possible! You've heard the old saying; "Loose lips, Sink ships!" How true it is, especially in a time of mass hysteria! People who know you've prepared and they did not and will kill you for your stuff out of desperation! Don't be proud and loud, showing off your last line of defense! Keep your conversations conservative and be sure that it's like minded people that you discuss it with! Teaming up with like minded people can have its advantages, especially in the lawlessness of an event aftermath when it's time to resurface. There is safety in numbers in some cases!

Underground is good for most any season! On average somewhere between 50 - 60 degrees year round. You won't freeze or overheat. Stock pile some warm and thin blankets and coats. I also recommend stocking up on the hand warmer packets just in case it's a cold weather event or it's winter when you surface!

Though we know that the inevitable is coming, We just don't know when! The Bible tells us that God would not have us to be ignorant of the times. Warning us to prepare to hide! With emphasis he say's it twice!!

1 Thessalonians 5

1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

Proverbs 22:3

A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

Proverbs 27:12

A prudent man foreseeth the evil, andhideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.

I definitely foresee the evil coming! All you have to do is turn on the news for about 20 minutes and you can see it too! Mankind's depravity is building into a frenzy of wickedness as it was in the days of Noah! How many perished?

please read all of Matthew 24

So what is there to consider if you going to build a bunker:

1. Location, Location, Location!!!

If you are a city dweller, Then you need to find a place that is no more than one to fifteen miles from where you live. If there is a sudden event with little or no warning then it needs to be close enough to reach in time in a quick bug out exodus! Driving may not be an option. In a nuclear or solar event there would most likely be an E.M.P. Electromagnetic Pulse that would shut down everything! Cars, computers, cell phones any thing above ground electronic will be useless. There would be udder chaos immediately following the devastation. This is why I believe that closer is better for your bunker location. If you live in the suburbs and have some yard then you probably have enough space to build a comfortable bunker. The other option if you do not have much yard and your house has a basement you can do a conversion which consists of some steel and masonry work to get the shell in place. So that even if the house fell down or was burned down on to of this chamber, it would withstand it! Always have exits! If you live in the country naturally you have more options available as far as size. You have to have enough space for the total number of occupants as you may be hunkered down for an extended period of time.

2. After you determine the location you have to plan for the basic necessities water, sewer, power, lights, food, drinking water, etc.... You definitely don't want to survive a catastrophic event then die from a basic oversight in your preparations. Water for sewage is a big one. This basic necessity if not prepared for can become one of your worst enemies.

a. As long as the earth is spinning, I am a firm believer in gravity. I say that referring to the water flow to the point of use through to the sewer.

b. Your power sources! Every bunker or shelter should have a battery bank an a stationary bicycle with an alternator charging system. I recommend a 12v system and LED lights, these are best because of their low voltage consumption. Candles, Gas and Oil lanterns and torches will do in a pinch but they devour precious oxygen, especially in a limited space. Stock up on LED flash lights and batteries too!

c. Another precious resource is AIR! Your ventilation system is your lifeline to the surface. Again I recommend that you have no less than 2 ventilation shafts. At the base at the entry into the chamber should be where the scrubber cartridges can be changed out in case it becomes clogged with soot or ash, depending on the conditions around the intake tube entrance. This should be concealed and protected as much as possible. Have you ever seen any of the old war movies where they smoke them out using their ventilation shafts.

Well I have hit some of the highlights of bunker building. There are many, many more things to consider! If you want to learn more or want to have a bunker built we would be happy to help! please visit our site and feel free to email us or call!
