Have You Had an Airplane Dream?

So, you want to know why you are having airplane dreams? Perhaps you would like some ideas for airplane dream interpretation? You came to the right place! I am an avid dreamer, many times lucid dreamer, and I can offer some suggestions as to how you can interpret your airplane dream. Remember, these are merely suggestions, so ultimately you must apply the dream interpretation by first personalizing it to fit your life's circumstances and surroundings. As someone wise once said, "dreams are the windows to our souls."

Airplane Dream Interpretations

Symbols are always a BIG part of interpreting what your dream means, so this applies to your airplane dream, as well. What does an airplane symbolize to you? Travel to a foreign destination...maybe a well-needed vacation? Maybe your mind and/or your soul is trying to tell you that you need a vacation away from your monotonous life? Have you been feeling burned out with work or family drama lately? Your dreams of airplanes might be interpreted as a need for you to find a quicker way to relaxation.

Airplanes fly very high in the sky...getting you to your desired destination MUCH quicker than walking or a car or train even could! So think about that. Maybe your airplane dream symbolizes the fact that you are trying to reach new heights in your career...maybe that you are trying to get to the top faster than you were before. This would be especially a good airplane dream interpretation if the airplane is heading up into the sky or flying level in the sky during the entirety of your dream. Are you in the pilot's seat or in the cabin? If you are flying the airplane in your airplane dream, maybe this is even a bigger sign that you are in control of your career and future success!

What about an airplane dream in which the airplane crashes? Well, the meaning could be interpreted in a couple different ways. Literal or symbolic. Are you planning on flying in real life soon on a business trip or otherwise? Maybe you have a real fear of flying that is simply manifesting itself in your subconscious. You may need to confront your fears and get over them. The symbolic interpretation of the crashing airplane dream could be that you feel out of control of some large part of your life. The airplane is representative of that aspect of your life, be it your career, love life, etc. The crashing of airplane is representative of how you feel about this aspect of your life...totally out of control. Do yourself a favor - meditate on this and examine what that aspect of your life might be. Realize that you cannot control everything but you can take many parts of yourself into control and improve upon them.

feel free to use! It's my pleasure. And you can change or correct anything you wish. After all, my English is not perfect. By tweaking a bit, you might be able to express my dream better than I am.

Hmm... I must seriously think about your saying of 'hiding'. I can't really relate this dream to myself now coz it happened quite sometime ago. The reason that I could still remember it, was because I dreamt it 2-3 times consecutively.

I shall wait for you to publish the 'g' hub! Not giving you any pressure though! Have a great weekend!

myi4u - Ohhh, that is a very intriguing dream indeed! It sounds to me like something in your life that maybe you were hiding, either from others or from yourself, was trying to reveal itself! Maybe it was something that you felt ashamed of...or something from your past that you had thought was long gone but needed to be taken care of. I think I simply must write a hub about ghost dreams now! Can I include your dream as one of the interpreted dreams?

kittythedreamer, I would certainly love to help but I can't remember much about those dreams anymore except one. My memory don't hold dreams for long. It's usually almost evaporated after I woke up. I don't get many ghost dreams nowadays.

Once, I dreamt about searching for ghosts for 2-3 consecutive nights. They were the same dreams. The dreams took place at my rented room when I was still studying in college. I was not sure what I was doing but I could clearly remember that I was try to search for something.

Everywhere I looked and opened, there would be a dead body; above the cupboard, inside the cupboard, on the bed, under the bed, in the toilet, inside a piece of luggage and behind the door. Each time, I would be startled.

As always with dreams, images were blur but it's the feeling of the presence of the ghosts that made the dream scary. I think I ended up running away from the house when some ghosts started to surround me. I woke up eventually when I was being chased by the ghosts.

myi4u - Funny enough, that is on my list for the letter "g". I'll try to get writing that one as soon as possible. I too have had dreams about ghosts, more particularly a very haunted house. Can you tell me more about your ghost dreams? I'd like to fit your experiences into my dream dictionary hub on ghosts! Thanks!

I don't remember dreaming about airplane actually. Sorry to hijack this comment section. Do you happen to have a hub about dreaming 'ghosts'? I actually dreamt ghosts quite a few times before. In the dream, I was normally being chased by ghosts or searching for ghosts!

Hey, fluffy77! Glad you enjoyed the hub and found it to be good advice.

tebo - Airplane crash dreams do tend to be nightmares for the most part, but as always with scary dreams, many of them have meanings deeper than they seem.

From time to time I dream of an airplane crashing. Next time I must check what's going on with me at the time. Interesting.

Great advise in this hub, and I couldn't agree more that this dream is not really about an airplane crash at all, but working more on other parts of your life that need more attention. A warning sign, of sorts here.

Hi, workathomecoach! Love your name. :)

I love dreams as well, and sometimes I still have nightmares...though if you are conscious in them, there are ways to turn the nightmares into normal dreams.

I do love dreams, and most of my dreams are highly detailed and positive. Of course the rare nightmare is really frightening and remembered as well!

JSMatthew - too weird! So in that one you weren't even in the fighter jets but they were fighting over your head? Maybe you have some people in your life or aspects or your life that are fighting to be on top? What do you think it meant? Thanks for reading and voting up!

That's weird. I recently had 2 dreams involving airplanes. The last one was scary because there were fighter jets fighting in the clouds, just over my head. I was with my family and we ran into the house; then I woke up. It was so real-the jets were right over the rive that I live near! Interesting Hub. Voted Up!

    JSMatthew~
