Fervent Prayer over inferior evil powers

Exorcism and Deliverance!

Part I

There is an ongoing spiritual battle all about us not readily detected with the natural eye! There are many seen and unseen dangerous forces about us to derail us from the "straight and narrow path" that leads to the LORD! Spiritual warfare is part of the everyday lifestyle of a Christian! All believers are faced at some time with tests and trials! The "broad road" leads to destruction!

The Word of God is quite clear that we either follow GOD or we follow satan. There are times when the battle can really get quite intense! The malicious activities of satan and his imps operate under GOD's Sovereign and Supreme authority. Meaning that they are inferior to GOD'S OMNIPOTENT POWER and exists to undermine the LORD'S AUTHORITY and deceive believers as well as non beleivers... Always keep in mind that satan is the father of lies. The prince of the power of the air and seeks to tempt believers in any way he can...

Through JESUS CHRIST and HIS HOLY SPIRIT as believers we who put our FAITH & TRUST in THE LORD CAN OVERCOME evil with GOOD! Once you have been ensnared there is a way out! There is none greater than the LORD! GOD IS ABLE! Deliverance is possible it yields Freedom! With the Lord by our side we can overcome the many challenges that are so often placed in our path to hinder us. In CHRIST JESUS is VICTORY!

Each day we are encouraged to adorn ourselves in the spiritual armor of the Lord to protect us. We can "be strong in the Lord and the power of His might..." Ephesians 6.

Today in this 21st century it is quite evident that there are a significant amount of diabolical demoniac influences and activities that persists throughout the universe. There are stories contained within the Scriptures that show evidence of those tormented by the persistent presence of demons. When satan rebelled against God there was a host of fallen angels that were in agreement with him. They were cast into outer darkness away from heaven because of their rebelliousness.

We have come to know them as imps or evil spirits!

They continue to work furiously to abort or disrupt God's Will from taking place in our lives! They do not want the works of the Spirit of The Lord to manifest within our lives! They live to cause confusion, torment, anxiety, depression, unfaithfulness, division, instill fear and want to literally in some cases drive one insane... This is so only for a season. In the end satan and his imps will not prevail...

Exorcism is not a subject that many want to readily discuss. There is much ongoing within the spiritual arena where evil continues to suppress, override and attempt to possess human beings. It wants to hinder individuals from reaching their full potential that God has created them for. Sometimes an exorcism is needed in order to free the individual from the clutches of evil. An exorcism is a ritual or prayer that is done in order to inhibit or cast away evil.

A person centered in the Lord cannot be possessed by evil.

In Protestant - non denominational religions there is what is usually referred to as a “Deliverance Ministry.” The Catholic Church also continues to use the Rite of Exorcism. Both of them are thought to be sincere pleas to the Lord in behalf of the one shackled or suppressed by evil. During this time the one oppressed or possessed will experience “Fervent Prayer” rituals!

First let me say that there is NO power or authority that is greater than the LORD! HE IS OMNIPOTENT, OMNIPRESENT & OMNISCIENT! The Scriptures tells us; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with GOD, the Word was GOD, HE was with God in the beginning. Through Him ALL things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. In Him was life, and that life was the LIGHT of men. The Light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it…” John 1. JESUS IS the WORD made flesh; HE was fully man and fully GOD! HE IS DIVINE!

What is so amazing JESUS never ceased to be GOD! He LOVES us so that He disciplined Himself in the flesh and lived a sinless life on earth in the flesh to be our only PERFECT example! This is why we CAN ALWAYS turn to HIM in our hour of need... HIS HOLY SPIRIT is available to ALL who ACCEPT HIM in their heart as LORD & SAVIOR! This world was spoken into existence through the Word! JESUS CHRIST is THE WORD!

The evil spirits want to subvert, corrupt and undermine any good and every part of God’s creation!

It is because of His love He designed a wonderful plan of salvation. Upon the profession of one’s Faith we are given the gift of His precious Holy Spirit! The evil wants to destroy or divide anything that is of God in a futile attempt to undermine His Sovereign Authority! As Christians we are in an ongoing spiritual battle against the evil principalities. One must learn to "STAND" on the WORD of GOD! We must depend on GOD'S STRENGTH that comes through HIS HOLY SPIRIT!

We must fervently pray in the “Name of Jesus!” In order to withstand any spiritual attacks, God has provided us with His spiritual armor! “Finally be strong in the LORD and in HIS mighty power. Put on the Full armor of GOD so that we can take a STAND against the devil’s scheme. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full of armor of GOD, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to STAND your ground, and after you have done everything to STAND…STAND FIRM” EPHESIANS 6

Spiritual warfare is real. We live in a spiritual warzone. This is not a fantasy, day dream nor is it a game. Many have been deceived and actually invite the presence of evil by superficial role playing... Much of the world has nested itself among God's Church. Being a Christian, a believer is not just a Sunday plaything; it is meant to be a daily lifestyle. It is serious! This is why it is important to know that the battle is ongoing.

There are two sides; GOD’s side and then there is satan. As believers we are automatically an enemy of satan. Therefore he constantly tries to find a multiplicity of ways to impede, divide and undermine our testimony and make us ineffective for God’s Kingdom! he seeks to destroy the family of GOD! Our strength resides in the Lord! The Lord has given us His spiritual armor for protection! He has given us His Holy Spirit to lead us to ALL TRUTH! He also gives the Gift of Discernment. We as God’s children are targets for spiritual warfare. God has given us power over the demons. "Then He called the twelve (12) disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick…” Luke 1. PRAISE GOD!

There are certain things that renders one vulnerable and susceptible to satanic attacks. The occult is not of God. Casting spells, contacting the dead, satanic worship, horoscopes, voodoo, witchcraft, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, depression, oppression, sexual abuse and pornography are few of the many vices that can become portals that allow one to be open to evil. One must be aware and alert to know how to properly respond or not respond at all...

We who are believers are children of God! We daily grow stronger in the Lord as we study and apply His Word to our lives and "Walk in the Light!” We can speak forth boldly the Word of God as we grow stronger spiritually. We are not to merely speak it but belief and implement it within our daily lives. Jesus Himself was a threat to satan and his imps while on earth.

REMEMBER! CHRIST JESUS was THE WORD wrapped in sinless flesh. JESUS overcame sin in the flesh for us. On the cross He took on the sins of the world. By doing so He took back satan's power over mankind and thwarted his plans... in the end satan does not nor can he ever win... THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS. This is why satan tries to desperately get others not to believe nor get to really know THE WORD of GOD! If you are not subject to God, you are subject to anything. He knows that knowing and living by the principles of GOD is how believers can become empowered!

We too can also invade the darkness by casting LIGHT through the WORD of GOD on evil. It only takes a little LIGHT to dispel darkness. This is why we PREACH TEACH & PROCLAIM THE TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL! This is not done just behind a pulpit nor in a building... Being a Christian is a daily lifestyle. It is important to NOT compromise HIS WORD in order to be accepted. You should be certain of the "CALL to MINISTRY" upon your life by the Lord through a personal spiritual encounter... It is a laborious journey for rejection, misunderstandings & persecution comes along with it...

Remember JESUS was rejected by the very ones He came to help! There are times when it is necessary to fervently "Pray” and intercede for someone who is bound and needs to experience an “Exorcism or Deliverance” when they are under spiritual attack. Prayer is not always spoken... "Praying withou ceasing!" is a state of mind. There are times when it is best not to speak forth yet silently & fervently beseeh the LORD! For the Word says;Be self-controlled and alert! Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the FAITH, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings…” I Peter 5.

“Deliverance” through ministry, prayer, via counseling, evangelism or exorcism becomes necessary to deliver one from the evil that has them bound. There are various debates about exorcism and how it is to be performed or carried out. Please if you will, suspend the visual episodes from your mind that are so often displayed out on television. Where there usually is a graphic depiction of extreme theatrical antics…..

Prayer is Essential Spiritual Communication with GOD!

It is to the Lord we pray and petition in Jesus Name and askOur Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy WILL be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the Power and the GLORY, forever and ever. Amen!” This is a model prayer Jesus taught His disciples. This is a prayer guideline....

Sincere heartfelt prayer is necessary. It yields results because it touches the heart of GOD! Ask the Lord to activate your Faith in Him as you go forth in prayer. Along with this sample prayer comes additional consecrated, contemplated inspired prayers of intercession… Earnestly and fervently praying and meditating on the Word of God is crucial when seeking deliverance. It is not how loud or feverishly you pray. Silent fervent prayer is very powerful as well for inviting the presence and protection of the Lord. Praising & singing to the Lord abets and helps sets the environment for deliverance. Remember God knows our thoughts…Be Still and KNOW that I AM GOD !”

Possible things to expect when interceding for someone’s “Deliverance”

When praying for one’s deliverance strong physical strength may be displayed by the one being prayed for, contortions of the face or body, or noises or unexpected phenomenon… a bodily rendering of sweat, tears and shakes... One must not become fearful. There are those who have been horrendously tramatized in a multiplicity of ways.. One must be diligently, remain centered and focused upon the Lord and His Omnipotent Power while praying and interceding. We live in a 'Spiritual Warzone." And, without GOD we are nothing but walking, breathing, shaped formed dust. But, "Praise be to GOD" His precious Holy Spirit our body becomes a Temple where His Holy Spirit resides. It is by HIS POWER & MIGHTY HOLY SPIRIT we can stand against spiritual warfare. Anyone in attendance participlating should be on one accord and stand steadfast in fervent prayer as well. This prayer vigil is designed to request the infilling presence of the Lord's Holy Spirit to dispel the presence of evil that has gained a stronghold on the person being prayed for.

DO NOT just let anyone lay hands on you!

"LAYING ON of hands" is appropiate. This should be done somewhat intentionally yet, discreetly and it is not meant to be in anyway a sideshow…or simply for public exhibition. Praise, Prayer and Worship go hand in hand during deliverance! This should be done decently and in order. For God is not the Author of confusion but of PEACE, as in ALL the Churches of the saints.” I Corinthians 14. There is NO power or force stronger than the Lord GOD ALMIGHTY! The battle is not our its the LORD'S! We who are standing, stand in the gap to beseech the Lord through prayer and petitions to intercede on behalf of the individual!

The Spiritual Armor

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with TRUTH, having on the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the GOSPEL of PEACE; above all take the shield of FAITH with which you will be able to quench ALL the fiery darts of the wicked one. Take on the helmet of SALVATION and the SWORD of the SPIRIT which is the WORD OF GOD praying always with all prayer and supplication in the SPIRIT being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all saints…” Ephesians 6.

Faith & Focus

Here are a few miracles in Scripture to ponder and help strengthen your FaithFaith is the substance of the things Hope for the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11. "Then the seventy returned with JOY, saying. "Lord even the demons are subject to us in Your Name. And He said to them, "I saw satan fall like lightning from Heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather REJOICE because your name is written in Heaven..." Luke 10.

“Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel: “Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And moon in the Valley of Aijalon. So the sun stood still, And the moon stopped, Till the revenge upon their enemies” The Sun stood still in the sky for a whole day as Joshua prayed while in battle! Joshua 10.

“They brought to Him one who was demon-possessed, blind and mute, and He healed Him so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw. All the multitude was amazed…” Matthew 12.

“Lord have mercy on me my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. So I brought him to your disciples but they could not cure him…” Because of their unbelief they were not able to cast out the demon. “However this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17.

“Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and took Him. And suddenly one of those who were with Jesus, stretched out his hand and drew his sword, struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear. But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I will pray to my Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve (12) legions of angels? Matthew 26. Jesus restores this man’s ear and heals him… Luke 23.

Lord if You would had been here, my brother would have not died. But even now I know that whatever you ask of God He will give to You… “Father, I thank You that You have always heard Me. And I know that you will always hear Me, but because of these people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe You sent me.” Jesus calls out, “Lazarus come forth ” Lazarus comes from the grave with his graveclothes on and his face wrapped in a cloth. Jesus said: “Loose him and let him go.” Jesus raised him for the dead! Lazarus had been dead in the grave for 3 days! John 11.

The Power of the Lord is mighty! "He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into HIS kingdom of the Son of His Love, In who we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by HIM ALL things were created that are in Heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. ALL things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before All things, and in Him All things consists. And HE is the HEAD of the body, the Church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in ALL things HE may have the PREEMINENCE." Colossians 1.

The above passages of scripture are great to meditate on while under a spiritual attack! From them one can gain spiritual insight and encouragement!

I would like to especially Thank Itakins for suggesting we work together through FAITH ~ Protestant & Catholic ~ unity on the complex subject of EXORCISM & DELIVERANCE! satan-Exorcism-A Catholic Perspective This is a very compelling and spirit filled hub as she states:

~ Christ's Dominion ~

"Clearly Christ gave authority to all Christians to cast out demons –in His name. Faithful Christians, of all denominations recite the deliverance prayer, handed down by Christ –‘The Lord’s Prayer’-on a daily basis."

Carrie, There are times that we must persevere especially when others do not understand what you are doing,… This is a subject that many avoid…! When you accept Jesus Christ it is the beginning of a marvelous spiritual journey. The Bible gives us many examples of the importance of having the Lord in your life. We all need Jesus Christ as our personal Savior! But each of us are different and our experiences are different therefore the level of deliverance varies. It is not always instantly….

What is so wonderful about the Lord He can “deliver us from all evil…” There is no power more powerful than the LORD! We are SAVED by the GRACE of GOD not by any works! “…Nothing can separate us from the LOVE of God that is in Christ Jesus…” Romans 8. The spiritual warfare wants to make us doubt who we are in Jesus! This is why it is important to Know His Word for yourself; it is our spiritual SWORD… God knew who we would be before the foundation of the world … His Holy Spirit seals that promise…

I am thankful that this has been Helpful. Jesus Christ came that we might have an abundant life in every way… Thank You for stopping by to share, please do come again! In HIS Love, Grace, Joy, Peace & Blessings!

Stand your ground! You are so welcome! God Bless YOU

Thank you for your hub. I have had some flack from 2 of my brothers lately on this topic. I have written 5 sets of “Underground Ministry….deliverance from demonic possession” and boy have I gotten accused of teaching a false doctrine and that I am in the grips of Satan’s hands. Their out look on salvation is when a person comes to Christ then salvation is an instant deliverance, and if they have demons and they manifest at any certain time then it wasn’t true repentance. And until the demons are gone there is no salvation. I have a problem with this stance. 1. What gives them a right to look and judge the heart of a man? 2. That stance does not teach Mercy and Grace, but teaches, condemnation, defeat, discouragement, and as if they need any help from us Christian people the demons are already telling them they could never be forgiven as it is, they are not good enough so they walk away defeated. Because they are my brothers I struggled with what I believe in, but God gave me a scripture that set me back on the path of peace. I like how it is said in the Message Bible.

Ephesians 1:13-14 (The Message)13-14It's in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This signet from God is the first installment on what's coming, a reminder that we'll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life.

Hear the good news, believe, then it is signed sealed and delivered!!!! No getting rid of your demons first and then forgiveness comes.

Again, thank you for this hub,

DR PastorCarlotta, You are Point on! The spiritual warfare is so vehement in these lasts days… that it tries to misconstrue your good intentions to see others set free! It really is not about trying to be condemning, nor self righteousness…. Without Him we have no righteousness! I BELIEVE in the POWER of HIS BLOOD! To cleanse us from all unrighteousness…. This is why we must daily take a spiritual bath in HIS WORD! "For but by the Grace of God there go I…." Self control is a part of the Fruit of His Spirit! When you truly KNOW HIM you know that without Him we are nothing…. Submitting to His will allows us access to His power. We never become the power… HIS Holy Spirit is not something to play with…

We are forever learning but there should be evidence that we are walking in the Spirit and not in the flesh… If when found in err we must readily sincerely repent!!! We do not want to allow the enemy to get a stronghold... There is inner PEACE when you realize that God knows your intentions and why you do or do not do some things? “Man looks on the outside, but God looks at the heart!” He KNOWS our hearts! PRAISE GOD! What you say is so true! “We must be watchful of ALL wrongdoings” We MUST be discerning…. God does not operate in darkness! He is The GOD of LIGHT!

Thank you for sharing your godly insight! Much Love to you my friend! May the LORD continue to grow you in HIS GRACE and in the knowledge and application of His precious Holy WORD! May the JOY of the Lord be your strength! In HIS Love, Peace & BLESSINGS!

You are so correct DeBorrah, Exorcism is not a subject that many want to readily discuss, but I will tell you there are many demons that people out here don't even pay attention too! I'm talking about the demons of alcohol, cigs, drugs, sex, etc. When people hear about demon activities, exorcism, they are looking for this powerful demon, spirit, something usual. When all along the demons that they are not paying attention to are the ones that are killing them all!!!! You must be watchful of ALL wrong doings because they involves DEMONS! Nobody, Thank you for sharing this incident. This is a good example. Each case is so different as is each individual. Spiritual discernment helps to recognize when the spirit is not of the Lord! This is why we respond and solicit the help of the Holy Spirit “In the Name of Jesus!” Your pastor handled this “decently and in order.”

The woman choose to stay bound rather than to have the freedom to be free to choose, she rather be controlled by compulsive urges… Discipline = self control which is part of the Fruit of His Spirit! This is also another reason why one must be mindful of how we respond when someone acts out or shouts out profanities and what type of environment that invites… “A soft answer turns away wrath” The Lord has so much wisdom in His Word to direct us, on how to properly respond when certain situations arise. When we spend time in the word regularly we will not be so caught of guard! Deliverance is a powerful tool in ministry! But one always has to be focused and centered on the Lord!

Thank you for visiting and sharing your comments you have added a dimension that I think will be most help to others as well... In His love & Blessings!

      Robert E Smith

11 years ago from Rochester, New York

I have been witness to only one incident and then not all of it. It was just after I was saved. I was saved in a new born church that had probably 100 people including children and all at the time I attended first. One Sunday when the pastor was preaching on the Gospel of John on the Scriptures dealing with the blood of Christ, a visitor had come in that had sat alone and acted as if there was a great burden on her mind. She was approached and she spoke in quiet tones and said she was looking forward to the sermon. I remember I noticed her. She looked like someone on the fringe of a funeral, without sadness but kind of in shock. I didn't talk to her but a few others did. When Pastor Joe began to speak of the sacrifice of Jesus the lady just sat there but as soon as he said the word "blood" in context with that sacrifice, the lady let out a chilling scream. Because she stopped almost immediately only one went to her aid. She said she was okay and apologized. But it wasn't long before the hated word happened again and she screamed longer and even more horrifyingly. We were told to give her room and several men of the church walked her out. The pastor told the demon "in Jesus name" to be quiet and allow him to talk to the girl. He asked her why she came to the church. Then he asked her if she wanted this demon gone from her. That it was possible through the Holy Spirit moving in and kicking him out. He asked God to keep her mind clear and honest. He said that God could come in and save her. She was clear. If it meant losing her familiar spirit she wanted no part of it because he constantly gave her sexual fulfillment. How could she exist without that? The pastor had her driven home in his own car and she didn't say another word on the trip. She got out and went into the house and that was it. I had asked why he didn't just exorcise the demon from her. He had said that when a demon gets removed, if the person wants it back it will bring with it several more and her state will be worse than before. He said that if she wanted to be saved the Spirit would make a way for her to get with others again or she now knows the plan of salvation herself. God will not just forget her but continue to convict her of her sin and we prayed for her for many years after. I often wondered what happened to her.

Lady E, Thank you for visiting and sharing! It is true! There are many facets to ministry "Deliverance" is a part of it! I truly believe if we focused on educating others about the Lord and developing a personal ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ the need for deliverance would lessen. The Word of God is powerful! Faith & Focus are important! "The Battle is the Lord's" It is important to know where and how to "STAND" amidst the spiritual warfare... Thank you, your visits are always appreciated! Interesting, scary Hub - important though. It sure is real. Years ago, my Pastor asked me to join the Deliverance Team (that was when I was a very fervent xtian - church at least 4 days a week).

I gave him a strange look but what I was thinking in my heart was "I don't want any demons disturbing me in the night" He could read my thoughts from the look on my face.

As scary as it is, people must be in this ministry as there are so many possessed. Some don't even know it. I just pray for grace for such people. It's no Joke. I'm heading to Part 2 of this Hub.

      Best Wishes.

Excellent hub. The warfare is indeed real and there is no neutral ground in this battle. We are on one side of the other. Jesus said those who are for him gather and those who are against him scatter. he never said anything about a neutral stand. By the power of the Holy Spirit we have authority or demons and because of the cross of jesus Christ we have victory.

Terced, Know that as a believer, a child of God His presence is always with you. The ladder may represent that the Lord wants you to come up higher spiritually? Spending time in His Word and inviting His presence around you is a good thing. Get your spiritual armor on! Take some time and meditate on what you are reading. Confess to the Lord any known and unknown sin. Begin to sincerely praise God for all that he has done, is doing and will do… This helps to welcome his presence in your home!

Begin, removing anything out of your home or around you that may invite the unwanted presence. This is a good place to start. If you have someone that is also spiritually strong have them walk and pray with you through your home praying and inviting the Lord’s presence. There is power "when two or three are gathered in His name!" What is key is inviting God’s presence and resisting the unwanted presence so it will flee…. Remember “God will fight your battles” The war has already been won in Him is the Victory!

The Book of Ephesians is a wonderful Book it reassures you of who you are in Jesus. It let’s you know that you are sealed with His Holy Spirit and ends by telling you to put on the armor. Once you have sincerely prayed, confessed and repented you have nothing to be ashamed of! May God’s mercy and peace be with you!

Father, I pray in the name of Jesus that you will touch Terced in a way that only you can! Help Him Lord to draw closer to you. Any known or unconfessed sin Lord, we ask for forgiveness realizing Lord you can see what we cannot. Father we thank you for the cleansing power of your marvelous Word and ask that you open His understanding. Let Him know that He is loved by you and whatever he is going through you are with him. We ask Lord that you cast out any fear and replace it with the Peace that only you can give. We ask that he seeks you first above all else. Lord deliver him from any temptations or hindrances that welcome these unwanted spirits. Father we ask that you surround him with your ministering angels …Strengthen Him and give him the strength and courage to praise You through this for in you we realize lies the VICTORY! In the Name of Jesus...

Thank you for sharing may the Lord Bless and keep you in His love and care!

2besure, I believe that true ministry means to serve in whatever capacity the Lord is able to use you. The Lord is totally aware of where we all are spiritually and will use us accordingly as He sees fit when one is willing! I agree as you say: "Anyone in ministry, should know about and be able to minister deliverance to those in need. (that would be all of us!)" This is really what it is about!

As the Word says; "The Truth sets you Free!" This is why it is important to make known no man or woman is the source of power. "God is not a respecter of persons!" We only gain access and are in constant need daily to be filled by His Holy Spirit to be spiritually fueled if I might say!

When called to ministry it is our responsiblity to speak forth the Gospel of Jesus Christ and share His Word! This could be to anyone... The Holy Spirit, The Comforter our Guide will do the rest as we submit humbly to the Lord...

Thank you for visiting and sharing! In His love & Blessings!

Dj Braman, This is why it is so important to know the Scriptures for yourself! Fasting is a wonderful discipline that yields spiritual benefits. You give up whatever you are fasting from in order to draw closer to the Lord! When you want something for whatever reason, or your hunger for food surfaces; you pray instead and intercede. I praise God for discernment! God is Able we must learn to TRUST HIM!

It is comforting to know that God is aware of where we are and the intentions of our heart. As we pray and intercede we ask to be the conduit as an instrument to bring about deliverance & healing!

Thank you for visiting and sharing your insight. in His love & Blessings!

Dborrah. I am writing to ask for your help. I am a holy spirit filled Christian who needs prayer for ongoing Satanic attacks. Each time I fast and pray and start to become loosed. The enemy at some point launches an all out spiritual attack and I end up falling again.

God has used your site to confirm a message that he delivered to me in the form of a mental picture. As I sat in my car in my driveway this morning God showed me a picture of a ladder extending up into the I prayed to God I was contemplating climbing the ladder again to spiritual freedom and oppression from these demons...

The last attack has made me physically and mentally drained...though I perceive that God wants me to try again to climb that ladder...the holy spirit is pressing me on...there is some great blessing God is trying to bless me with...

Another confirmation that God gave me in your hub was the number 77 that appeared next to the title of your hub...7 means completion in the bible...God gave me seven twice...He is saying complete this I am enlisting your help...prayer changes addition to the number 77...if you add 7+7=14....1+4=5 and five is the number of grace...God is giving me grace as I try to become loosed from these forces...God has been showing me the number 5 in my dreams and continues to tell me that he is aware and waiting on me...

I have never seen demonic forces as strong as they were this last time I fasted and house was creaking and groaning...there were loud pops behind the I prayed I could sense a great battle...I had enlisted the help of Angels...SIGH...I am going to fast food, no water and food no water...ending my fast sun up on Monday...

As before I will pray fervently as being continually filled with the spirit is how you begin to wage war against Satan and his demons...

I pray to be finally loosed from these attacks and hope to enter into the blessing God has prepared for me...God has already done faith in Jesus name Amen.

Please lift me up in prayer as my family is unaware of my situation and I am too ashamed to tell them.

God doesn't do anything by coincidence; if you are not aware then be advised God is working through you...

The Grace and Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Deliverance ministry should not be a specialty ministry; but some do not want to be associated with it, because they feel it is not dignified. Anyone in ministry, should know about and be able to minister deliverance to those in need. (that would be all of us!)

There is a dear price to pay to be in deliverance ministry. Battling the constant onslaught of the enemy, trying to weaken and harass the man or woman of God and a life of fervent prayer, holy living and much fasting!

I thank God, for deliverance and true deliverance ministry. When I came to the Lord, I needed it dearly and I finally got set free!

Great subject to share. There is a false belief that Satan can not put strongholds on Christians. In studying the scripture I have been enlightened with revelation that fasting is a key ingredient to lifting certain strongholds and possessions. Jesus cast a demonic spirit from a boy that his disciples had failed to do. When asked why his disciples were unable to cast the demon out Jesus replied, this type of demon requires fasting. Fasting is a lost practice in today's church but it is a spiritual principle that if not applied will cause Satan to laugh at you when you try to cast him out. We have to pray for discernment of spirits or we are trying to assert our beliefs without power. Intercessory prayer is so important that heaven stands still for half an hour as God hears the petitions of the Saints.

Excellent Hub DeBorrah K.!! I agree with you whole heartedly. Above you said that there are certain things that renders one vulnerable and susceptible to attacks. What about depression? It's not the obvious, as say the occult, but I truly believe that it leads to oppression, but not sure if it leads to possession. Nonetheless....we always need to stay covered in the full Armor of God!! And in His Word daily. Thanks for addressing this issue. God Bless!! peace.

DeBorrah, phenomenal hub...and much needed. Not only have you taught about, but have also added practical instruction. Especially in this area do we need both!

Quote[The evil wants to destroy or divide anything that is of God in a futile attempt to undermine His Sovereign Authority!]end Quote and if I may add...the enemy will attempt to get us to side with him in any and all vestiges of rebellion on our part. We may think it is no big deal...but every crack can become a bigger crack...

Quote[Being a Christian, a believer is not just a Sunday thing; it is meant to be a daily lifestyle.]end Quote and again if I take it one step futher...being a Christian is not JUST my lifestyle...but it is who I am...just like being a woman is who I am...and just like people can see that I am a woman when they experience me...I desire and aspire them to also be able to recognize as readily that I am a Christian.

Quote[...are few of the many vises that can become portals that allow one to be open to evil as well as living a spirit led life.]end Quote and from that list which you supply for us..we, as Christians, need, absolutely need to know and recognize all the subtle actions which are evidence of these things trying to creep into our lives, souls...the obvious is easy to know and stay away from...its the things which we "think" are harmless or that we are are not even sensitive to anymore in this 'liberal' and 'tolerant' age that become the stumbling block for many. Sadly I speak from experience.

Thanks again DeBorrah for a great informative hub...I look foraward to #2!

DeBorrah, we exalt God for using you to share with us guidelines for how to intercede with those possessed by malicious beings that seek to possess and destroy.

"As believers we are automatically an enemy of satan. Therefore he constantly tries to find a multiplicity of ways to impede and undermine our testimony and make us ineffective for God’s Kingdom! Our strength resides in the Lord! This is why the Lord has given us His spiritual armor for protection! We as God’s children are targets for spiritual warfare. God has given us power over the demons; Then He called the twelve (12) disciples together and gave them power an authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick…” Luke 1" AMEN, Glory to God!! We have the victory!!

Children of God who are armored (in obedience to His will and living a righteous life) has His promise: "If you make the Most High your dwelling, even the LORD, who is my refuge, then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." Psalm 91:9-11.

DeBorrah, as one who runs a fulltime deliverance ministry along with the Apostle of Deliverance, I strongly applaud you and this Hub and you can bet this and the second part are going up on my profile with links right back to both!!

People do need to realize a deliverance ministry is no joke.

The real deal often makes the hollywood renditions look pale by comaparison. One better be very prayed up and called into this kind of ministry. I've been at it for 4.5 years now. The leader of our church, Bishop Kenneth Savage, has been at it for 35+ years from LA to DC and now in Baltimore, Maryland.

Wanna know what gets me, though? Churches who preach deliverance and sit on their backsides and warm the pews. Others use the word in the title of their church and I've seen them run prostitutes, the homeless and others out.
