Encourage Your Spouse

Updated on September 7, 2012

"Let us encourage one another —and all the more as you see the day approaching" Hebrews 10:25

We all need encouragement especially in this day and age. Stress and sin is abounding and we as believers need to be encouraged. When we go home from a day of work we don't need to be bombarded with questions or talk about bills etc.. It is better to have words of encouragement. This sets the tone for the rest of the evening. We need to respect each others of how they want to unwind. When some people get home they like to take a few minutes or maybe an hour to unwind and not think too much. Some people want to go on the computer or read for a bit. Sometimes people don't have this option they have to run their kids to this and that, or immediatly start to cook supper. Let us encourage each other and lets try to help each other out. May there is something that we can do to help and make things easier for each other. Even a tiny helpful gesture seems to go a long way. Pray about being encouraging to each other. Pray about how to encourage each other. Even just listening to your spouses frustrations of the day can be encouraging. Most importantly, we need to encourage each other in our walk with Christ. We need to say let's pray about that. This will instill hope and increase our faith as well.
