Is the world coming to an end?

The title of this article involves a question that needs explanation, but firstly, the reader needs to ask themselves a question. With all the current events taking place worldwide, economical breakdown. acceleration and increase in world wide disasters, i.e. earthquakes, wars, plagues, disease and famine, do you consider it to be end times or new beginnings or do you prefer to (bury your head in the sand - saying it has always been this way, throughout history?) To a point it is true, there has always been world wide disasters, but if you listen carefully to the news readers there's always a comment such as, 'this is the worst in history' or never before has there been such economic breakdown worldwide or there's more starving children in the world than ever before. This is the reality! World disasters, hostility and world famine have increased to record proportions! So the question asks again, are these events the beginning or the end of the world as we know it? Everything has an end eventually, humans, animals, trees, grass, flowers etc all die! Science lovers know that everything is made up of atoms, and evolutionists may attempt to say the atom has a mind of its own and therefore dictates its future. However a creationist would say the atom was created by Almighty G-d and therefore it is G-d who decides the destiny of the atom.

What happens eventually to the atoms is described in one of the books of the Bible (a letter) whereby Apostle Peter describes in his own language of understanding, a revelation from G-d regarding 'the end time' - when the atoms will explode. Remember that in Peter's day there were no science teachers, no microscopes or telescopes or any other such equipment to explain phenomena. Peter received his information straight from The Holy Spirit - who reveals G-d's true to those who belong to Christ. Peter spoke in words to interpret it, according to his understanding, however, today we are able to put scientific words to explain his meaning to clearly state what is to happen in the end.

Peter said in 2 Peter 3: 10-13 "The Day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then with a roar the sky will vanish, the elements will catch fire and melt away, the earth and all that it contains will be burned up." ...." On that day the sky will dissolve in flames and the elements melt in the heat." The elements refer to all substances including the atoms, everything will catch fire and dissolve!

In previous passages of the letter, Peter said, " In the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, 'Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.' But they deliberately forget that long ago by God's word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. (Noah and flood- Genesis chapters 6 & 7) By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgement and the destruction of ungodly men'.

The above refers to the end of time, as it occurred in the past with the flood that destroyed the whole world with water. Peter refers to the end times of this present world as a time of elements and fire that destroys the world. He refers to scoffers who are everywhere in all societies today who do indeed say "Huh! its all rubbish, this end time rubbish and this 'so-called god' we all know that evolutionists and humanistic scientists have theories that tell us that this world will end in a bang - (the Big Bang Theory). Well, for once they may have it right, there probably will be a big bang as all the elements i.e. gases and atoms explode. (by the way- theory is seen as fact by many people, theory is only assumption, never fact!)

Why did G-d choose to end the previous world by destroying all life in the flood (except for the chosen animals and Noah with his family)? Well, it states in Gen 6 that mankind committed dreadful sins-worst ever- so much so that mankind had to be destroyed. What were these sins? Well, there are various passages that explain this and when matched with the Law of Moses we can see that G-d hates certain behaviour and mankind obviously reached that limit of sinfullness which brought about G-d's wrath! General, the sins that offend G-d are many but for simplicity are categorised into two key areas :

1. The most important is idolatry - that is putting things, other gods, material items, wealth etc before G-d. Idolaters includes those who reject G-d, his son Christ and the Holy Spirit. It includes idolaters who say that G-d does not exist and that Christ was just another man, and the Holy Spirit is a folly notion! It is all those people who say the world is a good place when it is full of murder, abuse, greed, sexual immorality, worshipping inanimate objects and things created by the creator-G-d! In Noah's day G-d destroyed mankind because they were pompous and chose to ignore G-d's warnings of destruction if they did not change their evil, corrupt ways. They practiced all sorts of immorality, including the sexual immorality that took place in Sodom and Gomorrah before those countries were destroyed by fire.

Wickedness was evident in the time of Noah because the people continually rejected G-d's warnings to turn from their wicked ways.

2. Intermarriage took place in the days of Noah just before the flood of judgement and destruction. This is an abomination to G-d! G-d is concerned when one person marries someone else from a different culture because it has consequences but more importantly when it has a 'spiritual mix' the results can be horrendous. G-d was angered because fallen angels (previously sons of G-d ) mixed with and married human women. Previously holy ones from heaven became evil (fallen angels) and married the unholy ( man's daughters -sinful mankind). It was a mix of two different worlds, the immortal mixed with the mortal, which created Nephalim (known as the mythical giants). G-d new the consequences of these mixed marriages. 'The Lord saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. The Lord was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. ....The Lord said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth - men and animals and creatures that move along the ground and birds of the air....'

There are many biblical stories of evil kings attempting to profane the holy people (God's chosen people - Israelites.) There are many non-biblical events that occurred in our time and continue today that attempt to profane God's people and succeed. Hitler, did everything he could to humiliate the Jewish people during WWII, he would often force them to do things forbidden by G-d i.e. to eat pork, rape Jewish virgins, force them to work on the Sabbath. (However, G-d -a loving G-d recognised their plight so Hitler's schemes failed. Palestinian and Arab nations try to profane the Holy Land with their presence, they placed their mosque on the holy mountain chosen by G-d where Christ will sit in judgement during the end times.

And that is why G-d will again destroy this earth with fire, why the elements will explode.

That therefore will be the end of this world -totally- then what?

Again I ask you the question, is it the end or is it new beginnings?

You may be asking yourself' what do I mean by "new beginnings?" How can such worldwide devastation's be 'new beginnings'?

Well, my answer to that question is this. Have you ever heard of the illustration of the half filled glass of water or the half empty one? Which of these would you choose to describe the glass of water?

By now the reader is either intrigued as to where this is leading or infuriated by the author answering a question with another question! Well I shall put you out of your misery and answer exactly what I am talking about.

If you are one of those people who believe that these things are happening because it is the end times (because everyone, everywhere is saying so) then you are quite right. But if you are one of those who is saying yes but it is also a new beginning, you are also right!

So now you are saying ' this author is crazy' what is she talking about?

Well, let me explain.

If you are a person who totally trusts in human ability and believe that mankind can solve your problems and your theory is that when you die that is it! Finished! Then you will call the times we are in and the events that are occurring as ‘End Times’ - as a grand finale, the destruction of all human civilisation! Wipe out! And nothing goes beyond that point- it is finished!

The glass of water therefore would be seen as 'half empty! It is a negative thought process, leaving no hope or future promise for the disbeliever. For those people it will end as a negative event, however, it does not completely stop- there is eternal existence in the underworld created especially for those who rejected G-d, Christ and the Holy Spirit. It is called 'Eternal Hell - everlasting death where the individual's dwell, aware of their sins for evermore!

However, if you believe in an Almighty Creator G-d that promises a future in a kingdom of peace and joy, after the end time events, after the final destruction has taken place, then the glass will be seen as half full. How so? I hear you say!

Well, if you believe in the promise that Christ offers, that to follow him will give you a promise of eternal life and if you accept Christ as the son of G-d who is also your personal mediator who intercedes for you (speak on your behalf to G-d), then for you it can only be a new beginning and not end times. For those believers, who are born anew ( choosing to follow Christ's ways rather than the humanistic route), acknowledging and turning from their sinful ways and persevering with the difficulties they are faced with as a child of G-d, they have the promise of a future without an ending! Revelation 21 states, 'Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from G-d ... "Now the dwelling of G-d is with men and he will live with them. They will be his people, ....He will wipe every tear from their eyes, there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain for the old order of things has passed away.

There you have the answer - It is your choice! Either you choose the half full glass or the half empty glass. Decide today whether you want eternal life or eternal death - take the wise route that leads to the New Heaven and Earth, rather than the foolish route that leads to the bottomless pit!

Time is running out- G-d has offered many warnings throughout history via his chosen speakers, the Bible, ancient writings, signs in the sky, signs in the disasters and plagues and in our own hearts. Will you reject these warnings as the people in Noah and Lot's day? They were destroyed for their unbelief and rejection of G-d's warnings. They wait for judgement day when they will stand before G-d to be condemned to eternal hell. Is this really what you want?Or will you listen to the warnings and get on that Ark or run up that hill without looking back as Lot did?

If you realise you were wrong about G-d and His Son Christ and you want to turn your life around now is the time. Soon Christ will return to bring an end to this world! Destruction will come quickly to those who do not know him!

Pray that Christ will forgive your sinfulness, your ignorance and your humanistic values. State how you want to turn your life around, renouncing your past life and becoming a new creature, cleansed and made new by Christ himself who as your savior has the power to forgive and renew. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring you wisdom, knowledge, discernment and understanding, and all the necessary spiritual gifts required to follow G-d's path of righteousness and holy living, and to receive the promise of eternal life. Recognise that G-d becomes your spiritual father and you become a child of G-d when you submit your life to Christ. When all of this is said and you put what you said into action then you can rest assured you have the seal of G-d's approval and the protection of the savior - Yeshua! (Jesus Christ).
