Eric's Sunday Sermon; "Fear is Never Enough" The Corona
Where is the Crown or Corona?
Plasma -Pure Energy
Say High to Corona
Another contrast we can learn from is between happiness and joy and contentment. I dare you to look that up and decipher all the mumbo jumbo. Seems anyone can be right on such matters and so of course the opposite is true. To some pundits it is like arguing politics or religion. Hey maybe the distinctions boil down to politics and religion in origin. It appears kind of like happy is fleeting, joy is a state of mind and contentment is more along the lines of satisfaction. Funny that while security is paramount it is not contentment. That takes another level.
Now just go here for a second. I am broken. Too much from disease to finance to relationships to faith. I am broke. Now you just might have it all going on and I do not. Someone lend me a quarter. I do not post current photos on FB because I do not have a good photo to share. I am broken down and hurt.
That sounds real bad. But screw all that. I have love and faith and hope, more love and a positive happy and some contentment and I flow over with Joy. Do not take me wrong.
A corona is a real cool. Check out a picture of a total lunar eclipse of the moon and what you see circling it. It is often referred to as a crown. Corona the word and idea go all the way back to ancient Greece. In Spanish the word means crown. The crown you can see around the sun and I think all stars is an aura of plasma. (doesn’t that sound all mystical sci-fi?)
Corolla – just for fun is the inner whirl in a flower consisting in part of plasma. And that flower is partially plasma. So everything from the sun to the flower has plasma and a crown. A corona is a really cool thing.
Oh and the beer from Mexico called Corona is clearly translated into the crown. A crown is it’s logo. I think it really is best as a Michalada.
I told someone that they had a cool corona aura about them and had to explain that we all have an electrically charged field about us made up of plasma. Of course they looked at me sideways with crossed eyes and hurried away.

Lack of Understanding
I bet just seeing the word corona put some fear in you about the virus. Are you afraid of mers-cov? If you are not that is fine. It is just the technical term for the Coronavirus. I use the word “sermon” here and it gets rid of potential readers that have contempt prior to investigation and understanding. Chances are good that you saw the word and without reading yet, you formed a feeling or maybe just an emotion.
Have you ever seen someone managing a crisis who was in crisis. It is sad. Calm, cool and collected is the rule in managing a crisis. Suppose we had an illegal immigrant crisis, would you want someone managing the crisis who is freaked out about it, either side makes no difference? Fear stinks. Critical and analytical thinking is required in managing a crisis.
Think of a young couple who watches the nightly news religiously. Put them in their early 20’s. They have 1, 1 year old. A 100 degree temperature for the baby is a crisis. Give that scenario over to a 45 year old father of four. No crisis. Our perception and lack of understanding creates fear.
I have had 3 phobias: Claustrophobia, Agoraphobia and just plain scared of the dark. Then I became a risk/adrenaline junky. I embraced them for the thrill. After a bit in each area I lost my fear and the excitement was partially gone. I understood after familiarity. I still have not gotten over my fear for baby and mom during delivery.
Take the Corona Virus and the idea that 5 thousand worldwide have died. (Actually half that)Contrast that with the 50K or so Americans who die each year from the “common flu(s)”. That is out of 350 million or so. Figure 21 thousand out of 7+ billion and you do not see a crisis. But we have folks managing that crisis. To keep it from becoming a crisis.
Watch out for people who want to have a crisis to they may profit in some way from it. Our CDC does that way too often. Just in the U.S. a person dies every 12 seconds. In the world just divide 52 million a year and divide it any way you want to. Or maybe think of around 200 – 300 thousand deaths per day. Crisis notions are interesting.
Rock, Scissors, Paper
Well of course we know that game. Try, love beats fear. Love, understanding and fear is not a fair game. Love wins every time. As a risk junky I loved the fear. No one can have courage to save another without fear. So fear is also good. My mom said “Eric you could live with a healthy dose of fear you know”. Little did she know I was afraid of her.
