Escaping the Grip of Spiritual Babylon: the Antichrist Church System

Updated on June 21, 2018

PlanksandNails' goal is to be a catalyst in encouraging the followers of Christ to pursue Biblical truth for themselves.

Ingrained Indoctrination
Ingrained Indoctrination

'Spiritual Babylon' is a familiar place to many. It is a religious system called 'church' that has indoctrinated many with man-made concepts and ideologies. Her charms are enticing with entertainment and programs that appeal to the senses. Without discernment, many do not know how to filter out or make the distinction from truth and lies.

'Spiritual Babylon' operates by drawing people into buildings that are under a denominational umbrella that separates and segregates people into different classes. The concept of 'church' is a counterfeit word that does not represent a locality of people within a city or universally all those who are in Christ. 'Church' refers to religious institutional buildings where people congregate in and conform to their denominational templates. Within the religious 'four-walls,' the traditions of man hold the greatest precedence giving where the masses give their allegiance to 'pied pipers' on the pulpits. The church system is bound to a hierarchal top-down structure with clergy and laity. Attendance is an obligation at predetermined times where programs have been created by hirelings as a means of attaining God.

In contrast, the ekklesia or the 'called out ones' are not obligated to conform to the whims and demands of salaried hirelings, but are an assembly of believers that are one in spirit with the Father and the Son any place, anywhere and at any time. Christ is their Head and they are guided by the Holy Spirit, not hirelings. They are not mute pew warmers who are required to listen to a professional speaker and put their money into an offering plate.

The fact is that you will find nowhere in the New Testament where there the early ekklesia were part of any ritualistic system of programs, sermons, prayer times and professional worship music.

Freedom in Christ for the early ekklesia and those who follow Christ today means that the physical temple system has been fulfilled by what Christ has done. The veil being rent means that all believers are a priesthood where each are able to freely use the gifts God has given them without asking permission from the clergy to use them.

A different perspective.
A different perspective.

The sins of the counterfeit church system could not be more obvious for those who walk in Kingdom principles. Many have been spoon fed their beliefs rather than allowing the Holy Spirit guide them to the truth. They have bought into glossed up hype and think it is a 'movement of the Holy Spirit'. 'Spiritual Babylon' is a slick well-oiled machine where their butchered 'Gospel' is sold

God is calling His people to come out the 'harlot daughters' of the 'Great Whore' to follow the way of Christ. The difference between the denominational church system and those following Christ are they can be traced back to. Many give credence to the founding fathers of the church, but none of these men are Christ. The Head of the ekklesia is Christ because his Father gave him the authority. For thousands of years religious men have tried to usurp Christ's authority and take it as if it theirs. They are antichrist.

A genuine follower of Christ will no longer associate or partake of the man-made religious institutions because their principles defy seeking first the Kingdom of God.

The plan and purposes of God through His people can only be fulfilled once one heeds the call to come out of 'Spiritual Babylon' and no longer partake of the traditions of man. This requires repentance. As we walk in obedience to Kingdom principles, God will take the scales off of our eyes by the Hoy Spirit where we are able to discern what is deception and the illusion of truth for what it is.

"COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE, lest you take part in her sins, lest you share in her plagues – Revelation 18:4

Walking on the narrow way requires letting go of doing all the things that are supposedly done in the name of Christ and aligning with the truth and objectives of the Kingdom of God. It is discarding all the religious concepts of the church system and allowing God to renew your mind and take the blinders of of your eyes.

Indoctrination that has been seared into the minds of many takes a miracle to reverse. Many of the religious elite are the hardest people group to reach for the true Gospel because most are reprobate and will zealously defend their 'golden calf' religion.

They like to quote this following verse and twist what it means.

NOT FORSAKING THE ASSEMBLING OF OURSELVES TOGETHER, as a custom of certain is, but exhorting, and so much the more as ye see the day coming nigh. - Hebrews 10:25

They like impose their preconceived notions onto this verse saying that it is a command to go to denominational church meetings where they are allowed to run things their way. Their outlandish eisegesis speaks of mandatory attendance and membership to their phallic (steepled) religious buildings where their is salaried mediator at the helm.

It should be obvious that this is not how God designed for His true people to assemble and function through His Son.

To congregate within a church building necessitates a temple system that Christ fulfilled along with its priesthood. They are antichrist in believing they can sow back up the veil that was rent.

Sincerity and Good Intentions is not Justification

Here are some important distinctions between the ekklesia and the harlot church system:

  • The ekklesia are not a building called 'church.'
  • The ekklesia are not a meeting place called 'church.'
  • The ekklesia are people in Christ any place, anywhere and at any time, not in a church building at a pre-determined time.
  • The ekklesia are all believers in a locality or universally, not in buildings called 'church.'

The fact is that any man-made religious service or observance that is done in man's traditions is all done in vain. Partaking of a white-washed religion is where people assemble together in man's design of things where the planning, marketing and the monetary are always front and center. The counterfeit 'Gospel' they preach is more about making sales through entertainment rather than pointing to Christ and what he has done. Many gauge how effective a church service is by how good they feel afterwards. This is what they call 'a move of the Holy Spirit.' When their carnal feelings reach a crescendo, this is the moment the tithing plates are passed around.

But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, HOW CAN YOU TURN BACK AGAIN TO THE WEAK AND WORTHLESS ELEMENTARY PRINCIPLES OF THE WORLD, whose slaves you want to be once more? You observe days and months and seasons and years! I am afraid I may have labored over you in vain. – Galatians 4:9-11

The ekklesia who have heeded the call of God to come out of the corruption of the church system primary goal is to have a relationship with their Father through Christ without salaried mediators getting the way. The walk of life is about worshipping God in spirit and in truth. Pleasing man will become a thing of the past. It is now about the guidance of the Holy Spirit rather than manufactured hype and the plead for the monetary to supposedly do 'God's work.'

Unfortunately, there are many sincere people who are caught up in the deceptions of the 'Great Harlot.' They are programmed and controlled by man rather then being renewed in their minds being led by the Holy Spirit.

Historical Evidence

Entering into the Kingdom of God requires rejecting the ingrained beliefs and ideologies of 'Spiritual Babylon.' History attests to the origins of what is called 'church' and it does not lead to Christ. Constantine in 325 AD was the start of what is called 'Christianity' where paganism was melded with giving lip service to Christ, but denying his principles becoming the religion of the Roman state. Later, the 'church fathers' of the Protestant faith would continue to ignore God and His ways through His Son as 'harlot daughters' of the the 'Great Whore.' The likes Martin Luther and John Calvin entrenched their followers with ideologies that did not originate from God.

Those who followed the way of Christ as attested in Scripture did not walk on the wide religious path and their manifestation is quite different than what is called 'Christianity' today.

  • The early ekklesia are in no way associated with special buildings called cathedrals, chapels or churches.
  • The early ekklesia did not have man-made liturgies run by salaried officials that conducted the order of the assembly.
  • The early ekklesia did not have the segregation of people in Sunday Schools and Youth Groups.
  • The early ekklesia did pass around tithing plates.
  • The early ekklesia does not have special seminaries and bible schools where people were able obtain special certificates using their brand of 'Gospel' as a means of obtaining a lucrative religious vocation.
  • The early ekklesia did not segregate into denominations.

Most are committing spiritual adultery within the harlot church system. It is a counterfeit and those who are partaking of her are in bondage.

For those who have walked out of this darkness into the light must shed all of the baggage they have accumulated in man's religion. Repentance requires that the Holy Spirit do its work in us. There will be a period of time in a spiritual wilderness as we allow God to strip the antichrist system from us. There will be no salaried mediator to hold your hand and tell you what to do and say. Obedience to the way of Christ is to no longer consume the pre-packaged candy coated pabulum and learn to live on the solid untainted food of God's truth with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Wilderness Experience and Withdrawal Symptoms

The wilderness can be a lonely place and many will demonize you for taking a stand on truth. In most cases you will be deemed as 'divisive,' 'rebellious,' 'back slidden.' You will lose many of your religious friends where they will no longer be a part of your life. Abandoning the social rituals, religious hype and the heavy indoctrination will bring withdrawal symptoms as you allow God to begin His work of cleansing you from the opiate of the masses. Unfortunately, many find the process too hard and give in to their carnal cravings and run back in through the harlots doors. We must remain strong a persevere to be an overcomer.

For those who are struggling within the counterfeit church system or have recently heeded the call to come out, there is hope. Remain strong as the un-indoctrination process and changing your ways is not an overnight process. However, if you continue to focus on Christ rather than the religious noise you were once a part of, rebellion will turn into obedience. God will take the blinders off and show us the corrupt spiritual condition that you have been in. It is a given that this will be at times hard and lonely journey. There will be withdrawal symptoms, but once the fog disperses, the discovery of what you once were and what you have become will be as different as night and day.

We are called to be 'living stones.' Salaried mediators are not the builders of God's people, but Christ is. It is only through him that we can use our gifts to expand his Kingdom. The longer we are separated from the oppressive and distractive nature of 'Spiritual Babylon,' the more untainted we will become. We must remember that Christ fasted for forty days and forty nights. It was not easy, but he was able to overcome the flesh with the many baits and lures that were meant to compromise. Coming out of the other side and walking along the narrow way will be much easier when we are able to hear God's 'voice' and know His direction and purpose for us and what it means to be part of the Kingdom of God.

Becoming a citizen of the Kingdom of God is discovering that it is not about going into a religious building, but allowing Christ to join you his body. As we walk in obedient faith with our gifts, we will find other like-minded believers who are on the same path.

The assembly of believers in Christ does not resemble anything like the worldly organizations and their structures because it is a living living organism. Being in one accord with Christ and his is about being led by the Holy Spirit, not being corralled into a religious building.

Take heed to these following words because they are of utmost importance.

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it. - Matthew 7:13-14

Have you found the narrow way that leads to life that only a few find?

Can you discern the difference between the traditions of man and the leading of the Holy Spirit?

      You stated,

(((We are told that from the moment we are forgiven that the Spirit of baptism is imparted to all who believe and if the Spirit, which is a gifted thing after making a decision to follow Jesus wherever He may lead.)))

The problem with the mainstream church system is that they do not point to following Christ where he leads, but salaried ecclesiastical men instead. That is the difference in discerning whether someone has the Spirit of God within them or not. Knowing Christ is knowing his words and obeying them, yet most do not know his words and parrot what their church leader says. How can people claim to follow Christ when they neither know his words nor obey them? Many are deceived in their religion of lip service that denies the principles of the Kingdom of God.

Following Christ will lead right out the doors of organized religion where man is no longer the one in control. This is the start of walking on the narrow way.

      Thank-you for sharing your thoughts.

      God Bless.

      Hi PlanksandNails,

Again, another article of yours I have enjoyed and fully agree with - so very similar to my own reasoning.

Allow me to reiterate what I have also said on this very topic - hopefully for the benefit of others who are blindly following vain traditions that are ALL man made.

"It has already been prophesied that the false prophet will coerce all the fallen religions into one in the 2nd half of Tribulation.

That should be of considerable concern if they are presently in the church system. Salvation and the strait gate are linked and they may want to think about that for a few minutes.

There are many who think that salvation depends on attending a church on a regular basis - THAT IS A LIE.

Jesus said, enter ye in at the strait gate - why is it that so many cannot differentiate between the two?

And NOTHING that is man made is the strait and narrow way, which is cult thinking.

The strait and narrow way is NOT found in a church - Christ is the ONLY way and it isn't in the church system. It is everything about faith. And what is and where is faith? It is within you, simple as that!

Jesus said to many on more than one occasion - Oh ye of little faith and because of spiritual blindness and/or ignorance, is it of little wonder that Jesus said FEW there be that find it."

We are told that from the moment we are forgiven that the Spirit of baptism is imparted to all who believe and if the Spirit, which is a gifted thing after making a decision to follow Jesus wherever He may lead - doesn't it stand to reason the Spirit will also reveal the strait and narrow way if we're prepared to accept it in faith with all our heart and mind?

We are also told the Spirit will teach us truth, (and most believe that) The strait and narrow way is also truth and if you believe the Spirit is working in you, what more do you need? THAT IS THE NARROW WAY. You only have to invite him to teach you.

      Best regards P&N,

Spiritual Babylon is a kingdom that will be destroyed. Let us deny this worldly kingdom for the Kingdom of God so that we may rule and reign with Jesus Christ.

      Be Blessed!

Thank-you for the encouragement. Not many are willing to leave the traditions of man and heed the call of the Lord. Let us be beacons of the Kingdom of God and be an example of a different way by being among the Ekklesia who allow Jesus Christ to lead them rather than salaried men who want to make a name for themselves.

I am glad to hear another testimony of those who have left the Church systems of men to seek the truth.

      God Bless!

      Hello PlanksandNails,

I give the Lord praise and glory that He has given throughout the ages a glorious company of TRUMPET MESSENGERS to sound the clear call of "COME OUT OF HER MY PEOPLE".

Thank you for your faithfulness in sounding the trumpet....truly this message is given only to those who have been hearing the call by the Spirit to 'come out'....these are those that have been stirred to leave the Babylon system and yet they are unsure if what they are feeling is OF the Holy Spirit. This article is rich with encouragement, truth, wisdom, and discernment....and will help those who are still struggling.....the struggles come from of the biggest fears of the Babylonian system is that of 'losing your covering' if you leave.....and yet the TRUTH is that the covering of Babylon has been a curse. (Is.30:1).

Our family heard the Spirit call to 'come out of her' about 7 years ago and I am so deeply grateful for His grace worked into us to say "yes Lord" and leave the church system of man....truly, a man can receive nothing unless it is given to him from above, it was all His grace ....all His work.....and He gets all the glory.

While there are many believers in Christ that will read this article and not understand it, and will be offended.....there are a few out there that will read this article and will finally have many of their questions answered and will be STRENGTHENED by THE TRUTH.....and will finally say 'yes Lord, not my will but your will be done.'

      Praise Him!

His love, peace, and grace to you!

      North Wind,

As you know there are lots of denominations out there that claim to be "Christian" and follow Jesus Christ, but following Christ is not about what pleases man, but what pleases Him.

Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. - Matthew 16:24

The simple fact is, denominationalism is a different "gospel" because it is nowhere to be found in Scripture. It is derived from the traditions of man, not God.

In vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” - Matthew 15:9

Many do not want to hear this, but if you are truly following the true Gospel then you are being obedient to the Lord by avoiding man-made doctrines. Those who teach and promote the traditions of man are not of the Lord's true church, but of spiritual Babylon.

      Hello Planks and Nails,

This is an interesting topic you have written about and it obviously is raising some discussion. I do have a problem with all of the denominations. My main problem is the fact that people think that belonging to one denomination or the other actually saves you. Jesus Christ saves and that is all. I marvel at the fact that the disciples of Christ did not call themselves Christians, they were first called Christians. I think that says a lot, doesn't it.

It is very easy to get tied up in traditions that man has created instead of following God. That is why I stick very close to the Bible and search it constantly for answers. I know that there are godly men and men who are to lead but they will lead by preaching the Gospel and not a church.

Greetings to you all: I don't believe this article was meant for debate but peaceful examination of oneself and possible dialogue about those findings. Be careful not to miss the point. The spiritual babylon is the equivalent of Ichabod, the glory has departed, when it is Ecclesia that is being separated and called out. Prior to babel being built they all spoke one language as today, and then babylon came forth. We wouldn't want to be found in spiritual babylon speaking the lingos and dialects of the Babylonians. There is a message and lesson we can all learn from it, try the spirit, by the spirit and if we have the spirit, hear what the Spirit is saying in these last days. He that has an ear, let him hear. Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter .end. (Proverbs 19:20) Thanks for sharing.

      Neil Braithwaite,

Jesus Christ commanded His disciples to make disciples for His Kingdom. He did not command us to become members of our own choice of "church," or religious denomination. Denominations openly defy Jesus Christ by making members of over 40,000 different denominations. If they were obeying the command of the Lord, they would not denominate themselves, but promote the things that Jesus taught His disciples.

Thank-you for your comment. You are right, "...the remnant of true followers will stand strong and continue to persevere until Jesus returns."

There are many who will agree with Porshadoxus, but there were also many who agreed with the Scribes and Pharisees as well. But that didn't stop Jesus from calling them out in front of the masses. He made sweeping general accusations against them, which I assume Porshadoxus would take offense at. Jesus called them hypocrites, blind fools, blind guides, greedy, lawless, whitewashed tombs, self-indulgent, unclean, murders, serpents, brood of vipers, and sons of hell! Jesus even questioned if they could escape being sentenced to hell and also intimated that they made their converts as much a son of hell as themselves. Sound familiar? Unfortunately, not many listened to Jesus' words in His day. They wrote Him off as an extremist anti-Jewish nut-case. And we know how it ended - they had Jesus killed for insulting and challenging their power positions and the institution. Devout Jews who sided with the power brokers are still flourishing today. Corporate churches and denominations are here to stay, they will fight tooth-and-nail to hold their power. They will continue to deceive thousands. But the remnant of true followers will stand strong and continue to persevere until Jesus returns.

PandN- Here is may reply to Posrshadoxus statement. And why I made my above comment. James 1: 26-27 (KJV) states: 26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is VAIN.27 Pure religion and unfiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their afflictions and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Therefore the vanity described by Poshadoxus "testimony" regarding the accomplishment and achivement of his/her church as a big deal seems pretty clear to me. Unless someone can prove different I don't believe I've quoted the verses out of context which I believe applies very clearly to most of Poshadoxus first statement above. Most, if not all, churches have the same problem.

Poshadoxus in regards to your second comment, you would be surprised to hear some of the testimonies that are given by witnesses in court rooms (vanity included). I have spent my fair share of time in court rooms.

And finally PandN position DOES reflect reality but blindness keeps you from seeing it.

      Have a good day.

Using your example of your church activities is a red herring to the distinctions that I have pointed out in this article. Mormons, Buddhists, Seventh Day Adventists, Catholics, etc... all have their own outreach programs of "good works" too. Here is an article that further clarifies this,

(" We could not have accomplished any of this without a Spirit-filled and Spirit-led leader that we call a pastor.")

Wow, reliance on one singular man for your accomplishments.

Here is an article that goes into great detail concerning the office of the modern pastor. You may want to re-read it again and give your Biblical evidence that affirm salaried hirelings in the Church and sole reliance on one man,

("God chose possibly the most highly educated theologian of his day to preach to the Gentiles- Paul.")

Paul was educated in the Law as a Pharisee, but required a complete a paradigm shift in his thinking when God revealed the doctrine of grace to him. We can learn from Jesus by His many warnings about pompous religious leaders.

("Focused Biblical study at a Bible college or seminary- the best instruction we can get in this time- is not heresy.")

Your missing the point. The fact is most seminaries produce credentialed salaried minsters that preach, teach, and promote the traditions of man.

("I get upset when a polemic piece such as this (and others) places all modern churches into a state of apostasy and heresy.")

I clarified what the apostasy was in the article. If you disagree, quote the article and explain with Biblical precedence your evidence to the contrary.

("From the beginning of the nation of Israel, there have been leaders-Moses, Joshua, prophets.")

That is true, but upon the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ we no longer require men who are of priest, prophet, or king status to be a mediator between us and God. Here are a series of four articles that clarify this, .

(“Placing one person in a position of leadership in a local body is not heresy. Without a leader, everyone goes their own way.”)

You have read my article concerning the office of the modern pastor concerning Biblical leaders. I never implied that the Church should not have leaders within them.

("Children, adolescents and adults learn at different levels, and must be instructed differently. As a teacher I am vividly aware of this fact. Separating children, adolescents and adults for Biblical instruction is not heresy."

Then it is upon you to provide evidence and Scriptural precedence to back up this statement. Here is an article that clarifies my position against separating people into different classes,

("The early church used a basic liturgy.")

Are we not to us the standard and examples of Scripture? Most liturgies are fallible because they are written by man to further a denominational agenda. What denomination is your church?

(“Blanket statements of heresy in the modern 'church' are insulting and narrow-minded.”)

I know about the heresy that is going in the modern “church” and have seen the damage it has caused many people because they have removed the standard Scripture, or have added to it. It is a serious matter.

(“We are not expected to conform to a church model two thousand years old. Times have changed.”)

I think this statement sums up the type of “church” you belong to. You might as well throw out the whole New Testament, because in your own words, “Times have changed.” The fact is many apostate “churches are doing the exact same thing by adding, or taking away from God’s grace that has always been relevant from the time of Jesus Christ’s resurrection. I could give you many examples and evidences of corruption that results from doing this.

This article is not meant for the modern “church” clergy member because it is offensive to their esteemed position among the laity class.

("Although you may feel I'm wrong for meeting in a storefront, I agree with you on what the church is not.")

What I believe is that the Church is not a building, and that the grace of Jesus Christ is not a product of commerce. Once we understand what Church is not, anything that is not true Church is not "church." The problem comes when man mixes (compromises) God's standard with their own. It is an attempt to mix the holy and the profane together. Either conviction will come resulting in repentance (revival), or further compromise into apostasy.

I know you have a heart for revival in your nation, but that will only come by repenting and turning from the traditions of man. It is a message that is not going to tickle the ears of the masses and offensive to many. Not many are willing to count the cost.

If you call someone out as vain, it is important to provide evidence to why you have come to that conclusion. Please use Porshadoxus' comment and elaborate on it further with your own analysis. I believe everyone should have an opportunity to back up their statements with the standard of Scripture if they disagree for the purpose fleshing out the truth.

Cheap shot, bad conclusion, and you know it.

I made the statement as evidence showing that some of PnN's position doesn't reflect reality. Some of the best evidence for any argument is personal experience. Would you call the testimony of a court witness 'vanity'? I think not. When I tell a sinner what God has done for me, is that vanity. I think not. Perhaps I participated in the Convoy of Hope event just so I could look good to others. Would that make you happy?

      Good Morning PandN,

I like your line, "Without discernment, many do not know how to filter out, or make the distinction between what is of man and what is of the Spirit." That says so much.

Although you may feel I'm wrong for meeting in a storefront, I agree with you on what the church is not. I especially like the fact that you stated the "church" has no Sunday schools or youth groups. In my mind (coming from someone that uses a storefront), families are to be brought together, not separated by meeting in different groups. Thanks for the post.

Hey PlanksandNail- Maybe you can write a Hub on "Vanity of the Modern Church" and use Porshadoxus statement above as the starting point.

5 years ago from the straight and narrow way

A dozen churches within the city of Marlboro, MA, USA just capped off a year of planning and preparation with a Convoy of Hope outreach in one of the poverty-stricken areas of the city. We connected with a thousand people using free services, free entertainment, free food and clothing, and on-site prayer for those who requested it.

The church body with which I worship led the effort- recruiting the other churches, donors and service providers; providing most of the leadership; working with the city; and organizing numerous prayer meetings throughout the last year. We could not have accomplished any of this without a Spirit-filled and Spirit-led leader that we call a pastor. We could not have accomplished this without numerous church bodies uniting and working together.

I get upset when a polemic piece such as this (and others) places all modern churches into a state of apostasy and heresy.

Jesus was trained in the Scriptures, and he trained his disciples in the Scriptures. God chose possibly the most highly educated theologian of his day to preach to the Gentiles- Paul. God did not choose every citizen of Israel as his disciples; He chose those were willing to be taught and to teach others. They got the best education they could get at the time. Focused Biblical study at a Bible college or seminary- the best instruction we can get in this time- is not heresy.

Children, adolescents and adults learn at different levels, and must be instructed differently. As a teacher I am vividly aware of this fact. Separating children, adolescents and adults for Biblical instruction is not heresy.

The early church used a basic liturgy. They sang songs of praise, then read from Scripture. Following an order of service is not heresy, especially when suitably flexible to allow the Holy Spirit to have His way.

From the beginning of the nation of Israel, there have been leaders-Moses, Joshua, prophets. The early church followed the leadership of individuals- Paul, Timothy, Titus. Placing one person in a position of leadership in a local body is not heresy. Without a leader, everyone goes their own way. And yes, the Holy Spirit is the leader, working through a human leader, as He has done from early on.

The Israelites met in a particular place- the tabernacle and temple. The early church met in particular places- people's private homes. The modern church meets in particular places- some in buildings called churches, some in homes, some in rented schools, some in movie theaters, some in YMCA buildings, some in store fronts and coffee shops. Meeting in a building called a church is not heresy.

Blanket statements of heresy in the modern 'church' are insulting and narrow-minded. The body of Christ is alive, not stagnant. We are not expected to conform to a church model two thousand years old. Times have changed. As long as the true message is presented and faith is alive and active, what does it matter where we meet or where we learned the truth?
