STATEMENT OF PROBLEM

Many believe that all the ministries and ministers that engage in deliverance or liberation or in the act of casting out demons, evil spirits and miracle healings, do so using fetish practises and diabolic means.

Just as the Pharisees accused Jesus in Mathew 12:24 "Now when the Pharisees hard it they said 'This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub' the ruler if demons. However it is important for every believer to believe in the concept of deliverance, this is because the ministry of Jesus is all about deliverance, healing and breaking of bondages aimed at setting the captives free.

The scripture have this to say in respect of Jesus ministry "The spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the recovery of sights to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord". (Luke 4:18-19). And another scripture also declared this in relation to Jesus deliverance ministry "For this purpose the Son of man was made manifest in other to destroy the works of the devil" (1John 3:8)

THE MANIFESTATION OF FALSE PROPHETS

During the ministry days of Jesus, he made it very clear to us that in time to come that many false prophets shall emerge performing miracles in his Name, he stated that they shall even claim to be casting out demons and performing diverse signs and wonders in his name. However, in as much as there are a lot of false prophets who are trying to counterfeit the good works of Jesus, this can not in any way debunk the existence of thousands of genuine Ministers called and ordained by God to be his worthy ambassadors in order to continue the good works of Jesus. The ordained ministers of God are called and anointed to continue the ministry of Jesus Christ, and they achieve this through the setting up of Christian ministries and churches. This ministers achieve this calling or mandate through the demonstration of the divers gifts of the Holy Spirit. Today, we have various kinds of ministers demonstrating various kinds of the gift of the spirit in accordance with their ministerial impartation. Such as faith ministrations, teaching, Evangelical, deliverance, prophetic etc.

THE REALITY OF DELIVERANCE MINISTRY

Therefore deliverance ministers are workers of deliverance ministries who are trained or imparted and commissioned to carry out the function of casting out demons, healing the sick, carrying out the works of liberation destroying of bondages and breaking of curses that are related to evil family paterns, witchcraft manifestations etc using the name of Jesus, Blood of Jesus, Fire of the Holy ghost, and been backed up by the word of God.Therefore the ministry of deliverance is not a physical thing but rather spiritual in nature. For the Bible say that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers and against spiritual host of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore ministers who tend to go into the ministry of deliverance without the backing of the power of the Holy spirit and the word of God are doing in so at there own risk and are also considered as the workers of iniquity.
