Exactly How Faith Works

Updated on June 17, 2016

Have Faith In All To Be Done

It works by your being still and believing in something that you would like to come true. You wait with faith that it is coming even though the possibility looks grim. Of course, you would put your faith in God that you would hope to make it happen.

It takes at least one time of prayer to go along with the faith to make it happen as well. I must not leave out the fact that you must be living a life of pure righteousness if relying on faith to work for you. It took me a long time to come to living a life of pure righteousness. I enjoy it now. I understand that it should not have been difficult for me to live in such a normal way. I rely on faith for all of my needs now. After needs are met then faith can be used to receive the simple things that are desired and can also be considered as needs.

A component to having faith is with patience. Unfortunately, many people claim that they do not have patience or not enough of it to sustain keeping the faith as long as necessary.

Faith in God is the best intangible attribute that a person can possess. Faith is definitely a gift that was given to everyone. Everyone should use that measure of faith.

Having newly acquired faith with help you catch up with what you should have in life today.

What Faith Really Is

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11: 1 New International Version (NIV)

Faith in Action

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

The Depth of Faith

Some people understand that faith is within them because they believe that God is inside them (by their choice). Therefore, it is easy for them tap into their faith that things will work out because they love the Lord and are obedient to Him. The Lord tends to oblige those that rely on Him faithfully. That faith allows them to live as close to the ways of Jesus Christ as possible. Faith has a look, a walk and talk of confidence at all times since its known inception.

What Makes Faith So Beautiful?

It is something hope for initially by you and cannot be seen by you nor anyone else. You can keep focus of it all the way until what is hoped for comes true. I am speaking of a measure of faith that is intuitive. There are a lot circumstances in life that does test our faith so, the most beautiful thing of it is too keep it as a stronghold.

Faith Produces In Due Time

Sometimes to have faith for something requires meditation because a person may not be mentally and sometimes physically ready yet, for that which is hoped for. Every aspect of should be established in a quiet and peaceful setting or solitude.Once faith is started, it should not be relinquished. Allow the faith to be heavyweight in your life.

I don’t know if you would call it a cliché but you’ve heard a person say to another person, “I have faith in you that you can do it.” Perhaps, it is more appropriate to say, “I have confidence in you that you can do it.”

Do You Use Your Measure of Faith?

My Very Own

The Faithful

Faith works most definitely when no known or purposeful sin is involved in the life of the possessor of faith. A sinner sins because he or she has not ventured into the depths of living in righteousness. A sinner must give up all sin by repentance and appreciate what God and Christ has done for the individual. A mate must not love the other more than God or Christ. It is taking people until these last days to start understanding and accepting that Bible prophecy is accurate. What was thought to be okay and acceptable was really not. As we get older we realize that certain things we used to do should not have been done. Therefore, we now have time to catch up on having faith and let it work in our lives.

It is easier to live with faith than without it. And, I especially like how you establish a difference between faith and confidence. Very nice and true to the word.

God strengthens us if we put our trust in Him. This a very good hub. Thank you for reminding us what faith can do.

Romans 12:3 "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, ACCORDING AS GOD HAS DEALT TO EVERY MAN TO THE "MEASURE" OF FAITH!"

      "Little" Faith or "Big" Faith?

Matthew 17:19-20 "Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could we not cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, BECAUSE OF YOUR UNBELIEF: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed (not swaying!), ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; AND NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE UNTO YOU." Well where does this leave us? Something is WRONG!

When JESUS told the disciples in Luke 17:1-5 "It is impossible but that offences will come: but WOE UNTO HIM, THROUGH WHOM THEY COME!" It would be better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast unto the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Take heed to yourselves: IF THY BROTHER TRESPASS AGAINST THEE, "REBUKE HIM;" AND IF HE REPENT, FORGIVE HIM. AND IF HE TRESPASS AGAINST THEE SEVEN TIMES IN A DAY, AND SEVEN TIMES IN A DAY TURN AGAIN TO THEE, SAYING, I REPENT; THOU SHALT FORGIVE HIM."

Although the apostles were "kept by JESUS" (aka Holy Spirit; John 17:12), "their flesh" said in Verse 5 "And the apostles said unto the Lord, "INCREASE OUR FAITH!"

Do you see how "the flesh" can apprehend our FAITH? Lust of the flesh is our greatest apprehension (Not just sex, but EVERYTHING "we think" WE should do for our satisfaction!)! If we "sway" from BELIEF in ALL OF HIS WORD, our FAITH "the size of a mustard seed" has been apprehended!

The poor apostles could not heal the "lunatic" (Matthew 17:15) because they "swayed" with "unbelief" and displayed "little Faith" which apprehended their faith the "size of a mustard seed!"

What does this tell us? We MUST stand "firm" on HIS WORD! I Corinthians 16:13 tells us to "Watch ye, STAND FAST in the FAITH, quit you like men, be STRONG!" We MUST "labour to rest" (which is our "WORKS") in HIS WORD (Hebrews 4:11)!

How can we IF we don't know what HE SAID?

      "STUDY" (II Timothy 2:15)!

Faith is walking in the Spirit KNOWING your God and believing His words. Having faith is knowing that no matter how bleak it may look through your physical eyes, through your spiritual eyes your faith can see the Great I AM is in your midst, working through all things and through all those around you. Faith really can move mountains! Good read today! :)

      Hey WORD!

I wrote a HUB "In Response to WORD55's HUB "Exactly How Faith Works" in fear of "deletion" and it also exceeded characters allowed here!

Therein lies TRUTH! "You shall know the TRUTH and the TRUTH will set you free" (J0hn 8:32) NOT "You shall know LOVE and LOVE will set you free" as MOST have been "taught!"

      "STUDY" (II Timothy 2:15)!

Hey word55. I hope all is well. Faith is a journey we are all on. We are travelling from faith to faith, to our most holy faith as Jude 1:20 encourages us to do. I am quoting you..... "There are a lot of circumstances in life that does test our faith so, the most beautiful thing of it is too keep it as a stronghold". I like this statement very much to keep it as a stronghold. The term stronghold usually carries a negative connotation, but faith as a stronghold is truly the most dynamic of our journey. Sort of like the term principalities, we are conditioned to think of them only as evil spirits we war against, but the principles and precepts of God are good principalities that we need for effectual fervent faith. Jesus Christ truly is the beauty of our faith. Excellent hub. Have an enriched week.

"Once faith is started, it should not be relinquished." True statement. Our faith increases as we remain connected; we understand it better.

Generally speaking, I do everything I can on my own to "make things work out," but when I hit a wall I pray with faith. My favorite Bible verse just happens to be: Mark 11:22---"Have faith in God."

Thank you for a lovely hub article, Word55.

Hi Norine and thanks for your comments. I hope we are working for the same purpose of drawing lost souls to God and others closer to Him. Of course, "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the WORD of GOD!" It is all inclusive of Bible prophesy. Thanks for adding to the purpose.

Dana, "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the WORD of GOD!" Please "STUDY" HIS WORD? WHATEVER situation you're going through, there's an answer in Scripture!

II Peter 1:3 says "According to HIS divine POWER hath given unto us ALL THINGS that "pertain to life and godliness," through the knowledge of HIM that hath called us to glory and virtue."

      You see? EVERYTHING!

In these last few years I have had to rely on my faith to get me through some trying times. I know that God is working with me to bring my faith to a new level. Fortunately for me, I have tarried with God long enough to wait patiently in an expectant hope. This gives me peace during my storm because I know that He will never leave me nor forsake me.

"I must not leave out the fact that you must be living a life of pure righteousness if relying on faith to work for you. It took me a long time to come to living a life of pure righteousness."

In Scripture, JESUS healed those that were "unrighteous," yet had "faith" in his ability to heal! Luke 7:1-10 "The Centurion's servant" is only one example and there are others!

Sometimes, we, as believers, fail to have "faith" in what HE HAS SAID and limit HIM (Holy Spirit) then wonder why HE'S taking so long when it is us who has "little faith" (Matthew 8:26)!

ALWAYS remember, "FAITH" comes by hearing and hearing by the WORD of GOD" (Romans 10:17)! Therefore, it would behoove ALL to "STUDY" when "strange WORD" is given rather than "tossing aside!"

Good and inspirational hub, Al. Most of the time my faith is strong, but from time to time it is tested. Invariably just when I can see no answer or am about to give up, God offers the solution. I hope all is well with you.
