It's Time for a Breakthrough

Updated on March 7, 2015

"Needed for breakthrough"

Not too long ago I began having some lower back pains. This became so severe that walking, standing or even sitting was excruciatingly painful. My wife took me to the emergency room at a local Hospital and after some examination the prognosis was sciatica.

Sciatica is an extremely painful experience developing from pressure on the sciatic nerve.

I went home after they had given me a shot and with prescription for pain killers: ibuprofen 800mg tablets, norflex 100mg and (vicodin) hydrocodone / apap 5mg/500mg tablets. This last tablet, (vicodin) hydrocodone, caught my attention for on the bottle it was written; “needed for breakthrough”.

And how correct was the pharmacist because I really was in need for a breakthrough to ease the severity of back pain.

I began to think of 2Samuels 5:20, it says, ‘So David went to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there; and he said, “The LORD has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim’ (Chief of Breaches).

If that was the case that the Lord had broken through David's enemies before him then I had nothing with which to be concerned only to learn how the Lord was prompting me that He might get the glory out of this experience as He did David, to break through upon his enemies and give him the victory. A breach means a rapture, a break, opening, penetration, hole, gap and break through. Jesus is the Lord of the break through or the Chief of the Breach.

Therefore any satanic strong-hold in the human heart is changed into a habitation of God through the Spirit, and into a throne on which the Son of David rules, and brings every thought into obedience to himself. This is the favor of God.

Learning through Difficulty

In my recuperation I learned to give preferential status to the physical positions that would give me relief and while you read these think of the body of Christ.

In this,

· I was giving favor to the less painful posture in which sciatica could not be promoted

· I was extending an act of kindness to my body

· I learn to support my body in its time of difficulty

· I was giving my body the esteem and encouragement to stand in the midst of affliction

· I was beginning to learn the divine concept of favor and a further recognition of how those who favor God’s righteous judgments and His cause are blessed.

Because of the effectual grace of God, the child of God is given favor over any thing which the adversary has promoted against the blessings of the Lord.

God has given His children preference to advance over all things that are contrary to His glory.
