"Faye's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 209 Today's Word Is : Rebuke"

Definition of the word Rebuke: Means to reprimand , to censure, to admonish, to censure someone or something, it also means condemnation.

2 Kings chapter 19 - 3 : And they said unto him, this saith Hezekiah, this day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and blasphemy. For the children are come to me.

Psalms chapter 39 - 11 : When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.

Psalms chapter 104 - 7 P: At thy rebuke they fled: at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

Proverbs chapter 9 - 7 : He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.

Proverbs chapter 9 - 8 :Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

Proverbs chapter 13 - 8 " The ransom of a mans' life are his riches: but the poor heareth not rebuke.

1 Timothy chapter 5 - 1: Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren.

Today's daily words of encouragement word is Rebuke: Rebuke means to reprimand, or to admonish or censure something or someone. It also means condemnation. It appears that open rebuke is good for the soul and what ever ails us.  We are to take rebuke as an action to do better. Open rebuke is what makes the children of God grow and flourish.  We can also use rebuke to get rid of stumbling blocks such as Satan, physical ailments, evil and any uncomfortable situations when we rebuke these things in the name of Jesus.

We can rebuke Satan, the devil evil, and any other things that blocks our way from God. To be rebuked, learn and grow from it, is a blessing,  but to reject it, is the actions of a foolish person , that doesn't know God. Always rebuke in our prayer and in the name of our loving Saviour Jesus Christ.
