2 Samuel chapter 19 - 35 : I am this day fourscores years old:and can I discern between good and evil;I hear any singing women? wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my Lord the King.

Today's daily words of Encouragement word is Discern: Which means to see or perceive the differences of a person or the actions thereof. Discern also means to see with our spiritual or third eye. God has given us many wonderful giftsand discernment is one of them. I think it's a blessing to be able to discern the difference between good and evil, or discern the difference of a good spirited person or an evil one. Discernment is a gift that we would be blessed to have, because it keeps our eyes open to true facts and actions that keep us from walking in darkness.
Discernment keeps our enemies in front of us and not behind us, which let us focus on the actions of others. If you don't have the gift of discernment, maybe it's time to ask God for it. Discernment is a God given gift worthy of having, because it keeps us aware, at all times of the good and evil that's ever before us.
