"Faye's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 231 Today's word Is: Thorn"

Do you ever wonder why? There is a thorn in your side.
Do you ever wonder why? There is a thorn in your side.

"Faye's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 231Today's word Is : Thorn"

Definition of the word Thorn : Means a sharp outgrowth from a plant, or a source of discomfort. or an annoyance.

Numbers chapter 33 - 55 : But if we will not drive out the inhabitants out of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass that those which ye let remain of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

Judges chapter 2 - 3 : Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto them.

Songs Of Solomon chapter2 - 2 :As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.

2 Corinthians chapter 12 - 7 : And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, these were given me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan buffer me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

Matthews chapter 13 - 7 : And some fell among thorns and thorns springs up, and choked them.

Today's daily words of encouragement word is Thorn: Which is a sharp outgrowth of a plant, or a source of discomfort or an annoyance. The disciple Paul give a thorn in his side by Jesus, which was sufficient for him to deal with on his walk with God. I think we are given thorns in our sides to buffer us, to make us work harder to walk on the straight and narrow way.

I think also that the thorn is in our sides, makes us appreciate God, people and thing where we things that we take for granted more. The thorn is there to keep us from being high and mighty, and forgetting where we came from and where we're going. Even the thorn is a discomfort an a annoyance for the goodness of our spiritual progress.

Think how much a thorn prick hurts your finger, how Jesus must have suffered with his crown of thorns.

Thank You for all you do to help others

It seems we must endure unpleasantness at times in order to grow.

      Another wonderfully blessed word.

I am also reminded of the thorns placed upon the head of our Lord.

      Love and peace,

      Forever His
