In all labor there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only penury.

"Faye's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 240Today's Word Is : Labour"

Definition of the word Labour: Means a physically or mentally effort,or a tedious labour, or to expend energy.

Proverbs chapter 14 - 23 : In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only penury.

Ecclesiastes chapter 2 - 22 : For what hath man of all his labour, and of the vexation of his heart, where he hath laboured under the sun.

Ecclesiastes chapter 6 - 7 : All the labour of mans is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.

1 Corinthians chapter 15 - 58 :Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Thessalonians chapter 3 - 1 :Remembering without ceasing your work of faith labour of Love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God.

Revelation chapter 2 - 2 : I know thy works and thy labour and thy patience and how thou canst bear them which are evil: and apostles and are not, and hast found them liars.

Revelation chapter 14 - 13 : And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, write, blessed  are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: yea, saith the spirit, that they may not rest from their labours, and their  works do follow.

Todays daily words of encouragement word is Labour:Which means to expend energy, or to work a tedious job.  We all labour must for th his e word of God, to ensure our salvation . We should labour for the glory of God. Labouring on any job is a full time commotment, it's the same way with Gods work, to  obtain acceptance into his kingdom.

The bible tells us, that all the labour of man is for his mouth and yet his appetite is not filled. To labour without God, is to labour in vain.

No truer words were ever spoken!!! Most feel that they don't need to labor for God, but you're only fooling yourself, He not only labored, but died for us.

We should be laboring where ever we are in our daily lives, there was a story told by one of our church members not long ago, she frequented a mini mart store almost daily and every time she went in she told the clerk, Jesus loves you. At first the clerk looked shocked but as time went she looked forward to the church lady coming in. One day she said, she finally realized Jesus really did love her and she gave her life to the Lord. God can put people in front of us for a unique reason. You may be the only person that has what it takes to reach an individual, and God is strategically placing us for our purpose daily. Than you Creative One for such a great word today!

I believe this is true, we all have to labor, but to put God first is the key. This is difficult to do sometimes, esp.when we let ourselves get in the way. Thank you for the scripture, i espically needed it today.

As Christians, our priority is to labor is in His vineyard (which may be on our jobs), bringing to Him lost souls. We rejoice in the labor of our Lord who labored for the salvation of man.

      Wonderful meditation!

      Forever His,

Laboring without God is definetly like striving after the wind - we will not find any success in it.
