"Faye 's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 266 Today's Word Is: Unity"

Definition of the word Unity: Means the state or quality of being united, or singleness of purpose, or mutual understanding, or joined together, or to be merge together.

Psalms chapter 1 33 - 1: Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.

Ephesians chapter 4 - 3 : Endeavouring to keep the unity of the spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling.

Ephesians chapter 4 - 13 : till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of  the son of God, unto a perfect  man unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

Ephesians chapter 4 -14 : That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.

Today's daily word of encouragement word is Unity: Which means the state or quality of being united or the singleness of purpose, or joined together, or a mutual understanding. All of these statements means  togetherness, or a strong front to deal with. The bible even says a three strand cord cannot be easily broken. There are more than one unity, that we deal with, the unity of the spirit, where our spirits are merged with the spirit of God. We then have the unity of men standing together as one, for a good cause.

We also have the unity of brethren  and sisters that stand together or dwell in Christ.              Unity is a small word with a lot of power behind it. Don't you think if the children of will unite in spirit with one another in this world, that the world would be a better place to live. So, let's work to unite our efforts, with God in the spirits.

What a great word you have chosen for today's word of encouragement, creativeone. Unity or the coming together as one body in Christ. This is what God would have His people do but sadly there are too many chiefs trying to start their own little tribes so that they can feel important.

Excellent prayer lesson, one could only hope we as a people could unite, but mankind find it hard to agree with each other. Praises and peace to you my friend.

      I stand corrected.

I also agree that we need unity. I would even go so far as to say that when an ordinary person, from anywhere in the world, meets an another ordinary person from anywhere else in the world they tend to get along fine.

Then the priests and politicians get involved.

Thank you peterxdunn, for stopping in and leaving your comment and feedback.peter, your're correct on all points, but I didn't say we had unity, all I know is we sure need unity in this world, we live in.I pray we don't go to war with Iran, because we truly don't need another war to contend with.

      Religion sets people apart.

Here we are: a decade in to the twenty first century, staring world war three in the face (if we attack Iran) -with battle lines being drawn between the world's most populous religions - when it's all really about oil.

      Where is the unity?

I say AMEN to the statement above. We are all one in Christ. The many different beliefs only confuse. I believe when Christ talks about the church, he means people, not a building.

Thank You for all you do for others

Great word! It would be a different world if the church stood united in purpose instead of being divided in denominational differences. I stand with you! I will rally around the cross of Christ!

Unity is so important to the body of Christ to achieve the goals God set before us. May we unite in His love and Spirit as we reach out to a hurting world.

      Peace and joy!
