Dishonor among children and parent is a bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
Dishonor among children and parent is a bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

"Faye's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 275 Today's Word Is: Dishonor"

Definition of the word Dishonor: Means a loss of honor and respect or something causing a loss of respect, or to treat with disrespect.

Micah chapter  7 - 6 : For the son dishonoreth his father,  the daughter riseth up against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law: a man's enemies are the men of his own house.

John chapter 9 - 21 : Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honor my father, and ye do dishonor me.

Romans chapter 9 - 21 : Hath not the potter power over the clay,of the lump to make one vessel unto honor and another unto dishonor.

1 Corinthians chapter 15 - 43 : It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.

2 Corinthians chapter 6 - 8 :By honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true.

2 Timothy chapter 2 - 20 : But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also wood and of earth and some to honor, some to dishonor.

Today's daily words of encouragement word is Dishonor: Which means a loss of honor and or respect, or to treat with dishonor and disrespect.  This means we have lost respect and honor among the people in our lives.  The bible tells us that our children will dishonor us and we like wise them.

This is all because  the bible prophecy must be fulfilled. Let us all live with honor and respect among our brothers and sister in Christ.   Children should  their parent and we should honor our father in heaven.

Thank you MM, for your comment and feedback,I think it's bad if you have to tolerate dishonor in your home, and if the person can't live by your rules they shoul find them another place to live, plain and simple. I pray God bring peace back to your home soon. Much love creativeone59.

OMG -- I must have been meant to read this today! Dishonor in our own house. My Hubby and I have been living that with his dishonorable sister (who did rise up against her own mother!). I don't buy that it's human nature and believe that HONOR can be learned. It's not always easy to be honorable, but so much more rewarding! Peace and blessings, MM

"The bible tells us that our children will dishonor us and we like wise them." - I think we're living in this prophesy today.

It is sad, but too many are raising entitled beings who lack self control, boundaries or respect for themselves or others. Very timely word. Peace to you my friend.

We certainly to be reminded about honor and respect. It seemed to have gone out fashion and with that youngster seemed to do things to the extreme.

Thank you, raising so many foster kids with big problems it is sometimes hard to honor and respect them. But they are people too, and although they need discipline, they need to know we love them by or honor and respect for them.

Acting with honor used to be a value in our society but I sometimes wonder how much it still exists.

We dishonor God everytime we act in the flesh. God help us. We dishonor Him everytime pride rears it's ugly head. This includes spiritual pride. Lord help me to not be a sign waving super saint that thinks he is better than others.

Thank you for posting. We live in a culture that has lost it's sense of honor and the definition of respect seems lost at times. What a greater reason to do as the Bible says to respect and honor that we shine brightly in a dark place.

It,s so important to treat others with respect, how many times have we heard a serial killer say that he was beaten as a child and never knew what respect even meant.

      Great lesson

      God Bless

I raised my children to treat everyone with respect. No one deserves to be dishonored and no person should dishonor another. Unfortunately it happens all the time. However, we do not have to lower ourselves to their level. Great hub, I enjoyed reading it.

I agree that we must treat everyone with honor and respect regardless of how we are treated. This is the affectionate love Jesus insists we show one another.

      Great word for today. Thanks

      Forever HIs,
