"Faye's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 307 Today's Word Is: Bridle"

definition of the word Bridle: Means a harness for guiding, a horse or an ass, or anything that restrains, or controls or restricts, or prevent.

Proverbs 26 - 3 : a whip for a horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fools back.

James chapter 1 - 26 : If any man among you, seem to be religious and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart. this man religion is vain.

James chapterb3 - 2 : for in many things we offend all, if any man offend not in words the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle his whole body.

Isaiah chapter 37 - 29 : Because they rage against me and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy nose and my bridle in thy lips and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.

Today's daily words of encouragement word is Bridle: Which means to harness or guide a horse or an ass, or anything that restrains, or to control , or to restrict, or to suppress or hinder or to stop. The bible says "If any man among you, seem to be religious and bridleth not his tongue, he deceiveth his own heart and this man's religon is vain. This scripture means that there are professing Christians out there, that say they are such, but they back bite back-stab one another, so they are deceiving themselves; because their actions are not of God.

The Bible also states that" For in many things we offend all, if any offend not in words, the same is as a perfect man, also able to bridle the whole body.  This scripture tells us that if we can control our tongue, then by the grace of God, be can control our body's action as well. The children of God shouldn't talk about our brothers and sisters In Christ, unless we're saying something to lift  them up , and not tear them down; by backbiting and backstabbing them. If we bridle our tongues and watch what we say about each other, we want have to worry about killing some one's spirit.

agreed! We are to build each other up not tear each other down.

to not bridle our tongue is just giving the enemy ammunition and a lot of undeserved attention.

I need to catch up on your daily words. I haven't been able to get to my computer much lately.

Great word! I definitely need to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to answer.

That old saying, 'hold your tongue' should be remembered everyday. I need to hold my tongue everyday, it,s difficult not to judge when you see so many bad things all around you. Thank you for being so faithful to bring us much needed truths.

      Peace and Joy

All glory to God for this amazing mediation. Surely, we need to learn how to speak to others with respect, revealing God's love in all our verbal interactions.

Love and peace in Him who is Love!

      Forever His,
