2 Peter chapter 3 - 26 : As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood; which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Today's Daily words Of Encouragement word is Destruction: which means the process or condition of being demolished or brought to ruin. It also means to tear up;, get rid of, or to annihilate. The bible says" A fools mouth is his destruction and his lips are a snare of his soul" the bible speaks about our mouth, because it's true, some of us are our own self worst enemy, when it comes to speaking things that we shouldn't and telling lies and back biting our brothers and sisters in Christ.

My mother use to tell us, if you can't say anything nice about a person, the we shouldn't say anything at all. Our mouths because of an unruly and destructive tongue can and will become the death and the destruction of us; if we don't take control of it, even though the tongue has the power of life and death in it, we should still strive to control it, with on going prayer.

Hallelujah the tongue has started wars and one must learn to contain it. My mom use to say about my talking so much "when you die you won't have anything to say". Learning to shut ones mouth is the start of becoming one with Jesus. Excellent subject matter.

I hate to destroy or kill anything. I've unwittingly lost some things, for sure.

Sometimes i say things out of anger and as soon as it comes out of my mouth, i,m sorry. We are all human, my prayer is to do and say things that will glorify God. Thank you for your message.

      God Bless

You are so right, so many times we seem to speak before we think, and to curb our tongue most times it is impossible, or it seems that way, but really all we have to do is to shut our mouth.
