"Faye's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 409 Today's Word Is : Hearer"

Children of God cannot only be hearer of the words but also doers of the word as well.
Children of God cannot only be hearer of the words but also doers of the word as well.

"Faye 's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 410 Todays' Word Is :Hearer"

Definition of the word Hearer: Which means someone who listens, or one that listens.

Romans chapter 2 - 13 : For not the hearers of the law are just before God; but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Ephesians chapter 4- 29 : :Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that it may minister grace unto the hearer.

James chapter 1 - 22 : But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving you own selves.

Today's daily word of encouragement word is hearer: Which means someone who listens, or one who listens. The bible tells us" But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves" which means to be doers of the word and do exactly what the word of God is telling us to do; and not just hearers of the word without actions. If we put not actions behind the hearing of the word, then it's all for nothing; So, the hearing of the word motivates us to be doers of the word of God with continuous actions.

Thank you JeanieR,for your visit and comment. The problem I think is most people don't hear the quiet voice that speaks to our soul. Godspeed. creativeone59

Sunday I visited a church in Kona and afterward had a woman pray for me. She asked for details of what I wished prayer for. I told her what God told me. She paused for several pregnant seconds and then exclaimed, "I love to find a woman who can hear God speak!' My immediate response was shock. Then, had to come to grips with the fact that there are those who do not have listening ears. ...Too busy listening to their own voices. That sounds harsh, but I find it often as I listen to folks pouring out their problems.

      "Hearer"

What an important word. We often hear the noise, without "hearing" the message directed at us.

"Hear" should be an action verb!

God gave us one mouth and two ears, so listening must be important. Great advice.
