"Faye's Daily Words Of Encouragement # 453 Today's Word Is: Rebuke"

Definition of the word Rebuke : Which means a reprimand or a formal or severe criticism.

Proverbs chapter 27 - 5 : Open rebuke is better than secret love.

Ecclesiastes chapter 7 - 5 : it is better to hear the rebuke of the wise than for a man to hear the song of fools.

Jeremiah chapter 15 - 15 :O Lord, thou knowest : remember me and visit me and revenge me of my persecution; take me not away in thy long suffering know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.

Philippians chapter 2 - 15 : That ye may be blameless and harmless, the son of God , without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation among whom ye shine as lights in the world.

Today's daily words of encouragement word is Rebuke : which means a reprimand or to reprimand or a formal or severe criticism.  I think it's been said that criticism is good for the soul.  The bible tells us that " It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to  hear the babbling of fools , which means criticism is good for us all.

I teach cildrens church on Sunday and as I looked at the lesson plan on the first page it says for me to say "The Bible says it is smart to let people point out what you are doing wrong. A lot of times that's how we learn and grow." Very timely word. God bless you dear sweet sister!

As Tamarajo said, it is very humbling to be rebuked for good as that is how we grow and keeps us from thinking more of ourselves than we ought. Great hub.

You know what I think Benny Faye?

I think you are one of the beautiful people. I think you are one of God's chosen.

You just keep plugging away, day after day at saving lost souls and providing comfort, and I'm sure Jesus had his hand on your sweet shoulder.

      That's what I think.
