"Faye's daily words of encouragement" # 29 Todays word is: Conscience"

Definition of the word Conscience: Means the sense of right and wrong doings.

2 Corinthians chapter 1 - 2 : For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and Godly sincerity.now with freshly wisdom, but by the grace of God; we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly.

Hebrews chapter 13 - 18 : Pray for us for we trust we have good conscience, in all things willing to be honestly.

Hebrews chapter 10 - 22: Let us draw near with true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

1 Timothy chapter 1 - 5 : Now the end of the commandment is charity out of pure heart, and a good conscience, and of faith unfeighned.

I pray that we all have a conscience, for conscience sake, but it 's not a guarantee; unless we were born into a Godly  household.  if we were born to Godly parent that believe in right and wrong of things.  If our parent were reared by Godly traits, that means you have a conscience and we'll raise our children to know the difference between right and wrong of things.

Teaching our children the difference between right and the wrong of things, begins at home. If our children don't grow up with a sense of right and wrong ; they will end up doing  all kinds of evilness and want have a conscience about doing things, that are wrong.  When our children are young, we start teaching them the difference of right and wrong and when they get older they want stray from the course. It's very important to instill in our children a God conscientiousness; so they will have remorse  and regret about their evil acts  and repent from them.

I think 'conscience' has gone out of fashion. It worries me to death what the next generation will be? Thanks for your great hub but conscience definitely needs introducing.

We were all created with a conscience - "They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their hearts, while their conscience is bearing witness with them and, between their own thoughts, they are being accused or even excused" - Rom. 2:15. The sad thing however, is that we can damage or make "callous" our conscience to the point that it no longer helps us to see a clear distinction between right and wrong. So just like you said creativeone59, it is up to us as parents to lay the groundwork first, and hope that our children will grow into adults that live by their 'bible' trained conscience.
