"Faye's daily words of encouragement" # 55 Todays word is : Adversity"

Definition of the word Adversity: A state of hardship. difficult circumstances, or misfortune.

Psalms chapter 10 - 6 : He hath said in his heart ,I shall not be moved; for I shall never be in adversity.

Proverbs chapter 17 - 17 : A friend loveth at  all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

Proverbs chapter 24 - 10 : If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

Hebrews chapter 13 _ 3 :  Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity , as being yourselves also in body.

In this world of wickedness, we all suffer some form of adversity at some times or another.  We have to pray and be strong , and if ti's our brother or sisters in Christ that's suffering;  we have to pray for them and extend a helping hand; and do what ever we can to help them.  Adversity like death is not prejudice, takes on anyone.  Most times none of us are prepared for the adversity ; that comes our way, but we have to think about Jesus and his adversities and we're no greater than he.

Even though it may hurt us, discourage us, and sometimes, get us down, but we can't let adversity keep us down.  We have to fight back with every fiber of our being; until we over come the adversity what ever it may be, because by his grace we shall over come anything, even the many adversitieses that we're faced with each day of our lives.
