"Faye's daily words of encouragement " # 83 Todays word is: Pit"
Definition of the word Pit: It's a hole or shaft in the ground, sunken or enclosed place for a special purpose, hell.
Proverbs chapter 28 - 10 : Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in a evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the up right shall have good things in possessions.
Numbers chapter 16 -30 : But the Lord make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallowed them up; with all that into the pit; then ye shall understand these men have provoked God.
Genesis chapter 37 - 20 : Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.
Let's talk about pits and digging ditches for others to fall into. A lot of this,; is happening in today's society. Brothers and sisters in Christ, don't dig ditches or pits for others because it's not a godly thing to do. when we're in Christ and being led by the holy spirit; the things we do are good and honorable. Although some of us let Satan use us, by digging pits and ditches for others; that we are envious and jealous of. In using theses tactics of the devil; we might succeed in knocking some one off the rungs of their ladder, but we will ultimately suffer the same consequences as well.
I believe totally in the word of God and the bible does say: if you dig a ditch for someone, into that very destruction you will fall, so that means you reap whatever you sow. Digging pits and ditches in someone Else's life; will cause us , pain and destruction. If we want the love of God in our lives, we need to help a brother or sister up in their life and not tear them down; because they're prospering and we're not. Doing this will only cause our blessing to stoop flowing back to us. So, let's lift up our brothers and sisters in Christ and not tear them down.
