"Faye's daily words of encouragement" # 82 Todays word is: Hospitality"

When we have guest in our home, we should treat them like royalty, because we're all good stewards of God.
When we have guest in our home, we should treat them like royalty, because we're all good stewards of God.

"Faye's daily words of encouragement" # 82 Todays word is: Hospitality"

Definition of the word Hospitality: Hospitable treatment, or treating a guest with pleasure.

Romans chapter 12 - 13 : Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

1 Timothy chapter 3 - 2 : A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, valiant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach.

Titus chapter 1 - 8 : But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just holy temperate.

1 Peter chapter 4 - 9 ; Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

Brothers and sisters in Christ; we are suppose to be good stewards of the manifold grace of God, but we can't be that if we grudgingly help someone. When it comes to inviting anyone in our homes: we're suppose to be good stewards; and make that person comfortable, while he or she is there. If we were invited into someone Else's home and treated shabbily; we would feel very uncomfortably and burdensome; so lets show our brothers and sisters in Christ our love of hospitality.

I love being hospitable to my house guest, no matter who they are. I love having people in our home and treating them like royalty. When doing anything , I believe in going all the way,and not just half the way. I think any guest should really feel that they're genuinely welcome to your home, Even if they're uninvited guest. You have to love being hospitable in order to show your hospitality.

Let's use God's words; and show hospitality to one another and enjoy doing it. If we do it with a grudging heart; then the effort is worthless, so let's do as Jesus and be good stewards of God and show our guest love and care

Benny Faye Douglass.

This is such a great reminder, especially with everyone traveling to be with their families. One of my friends used to say, "extend hospitality, not hostility," and we can do this through our words and deeds when we except people into our homes.

Hey creative one. We think alike when it comes to guests. Like you, I extend every courtesy and I enjoy doing it. I try to treat guests with the same respect I would give to royalty. And as you intimated, we should show the love of Christ through our behavior towards those gracing our home.

      A welcomed reminder.
