The Beast Religion: The Church System

Updated on September 23, 2017

PlanksandNails' goal is to be a catalyst in encouraging the followers of Christ to pursue Biblical truth for themselves.

A lot of horror movies are synonymous with a ferocious beast that is on the prowl in a local town. This beast has an insatiable hunger for flesh, blood, spirit and soul because its existence depends on these things for its sustenance. This monster had been around for centuries and there much history and folklore that has been passed on about it from one generation to the other. From those who look from the outside in on the townsfolk, they have a piqued eerie curiosity of the shadow that it cast upon their residence.

Vivid tales are spoken about them by a small outcast group about this particular beast and that the town and the people should be avoided at all costs, but most think of them as being outlandish. They are all too aware that on a certain day of the week and particular times of night during the week that the beast loves to feed. The townsfolk tirelessly tries to appease the beast’s ferocious appetite by offering sacrifices to it because they believe that if they don't, it will bring them certain death. In the futility of their endeavors, it only causes the monster to grow bigger causing its ravenous appetite to increase.

Insatiable Appetite

The townspeople love to get together for special meetings concerning matters about the beast appointing themselves special overseers to put different action plans into place. In honour of the beast, they pass bowls around where each of the townsfolk are told to put in bits of their flesh and blood as an offering of food for the beast. They are told this will bring them blessing and give them power.

Unfortunately, the people are blinded by their deviant behaviours. They cannot see that they are not becoming stronger, but becoming weaker and weaker. The indulgences and sacrifice of their flesh and blood at feeding times have not given them enough time to heal. Some of the citizens of the the town have become so weak that in their delusion believe they are partaking of a good cause. Even though they been confronted and told of the dangers of what they are doing, they do not want to be free from this monster they deem as their saviour. They have become diseased pieces of meat hanging in the clenched jaw of the beast.

Fortunately, some of the townsfolk that once sacrificed parts of themselves to the beast were able to escape from its grasp and were freed from the shadow of oppression that this monster held over them. They heard a voice calling to them to come out, they heeded the call and were cured from their plague and found new life and freedom.

The ones who escaped knew all too well about the mayor of the town who did not like anyone leaving the township he thought he owned. He had a sinister agenda where he revelled in sacrificing as many as he could to the beast. He felt that this gave him power because he was given elite status over the township.

There was another group who managed to escape grip of the town, but they could not find true freedom. Their wounds would not completely heal always infected and festering. They wandered to the outskirts of the town, but always looked back in instead of persevering and moving towards freedom.

The 'called out ones' who had truly heeded the call to leave the township had to leave everything behind. They did not look back because they found the gate and the narrow way that led them to life. From the outside looking in, they could see all those were willfully giving themselves to this ravenous monster. Pleading with them seemed futile and they refused to even listen. Their overseers seemed to have a devious grip upon them. What was even stranger is that most actually liked someone controlling all of their behaviours and activities.

The tradition and culture of the town catered on promoting the beast and sacrificing themselves and others to it. They had a museum as a means to draw others in on their story. They loved to talk about the history, the traditions, the legend, folklore and tales about the beast. Many eyes would gloss over from the famous tales.

Additionally, there were many festivals and carnivals that took place throughout the year to draw as many into the township as it was the feeding ground for the beast. The beast was very cunning and controlling and used the overseers to constantly push its agenda that was put into place centuries ago. Everyone was encouraged to partake in the festivities and celebrations. Putting in extra time and energy was considered giving back to the community and for a good cause.

As the beast grew stronger and stronger, the people could not see that they were part of a great epidemic. Their continual sacrifice of flesh and blood became the driving force in all that they did. They would even go and seek out outsiders and try to lure them in to partaking in their cause. Little did they know that that they would become new meat for the monster to feed on.

Even though some later caught on to the scheme, it was too late. As the jaws clenched down, they became too weak to fight against it.

The corrupt man-made system called 'church' is a beast. It seems like a noble and just effort, but actually feeds into idolatry. The beast exploits the one who feeds it by promising validation, recognition, identification, significance, power and security. This is deception that bleeds many dry leaving them with nothing in the end. Many have not considered whether they are feeding, or being fed to the beast.

  • Do you go to a building to practice and sacrifice yourself to a certain brand of religion?
  • Are you born again or have you been voted in?
  • Are you called by Christ or do you sit in a pew?
  • Is Christ your centre or are you in the institutional center?
  • Are you living by the Spirit or by your flesh?
  • Is man in control or is Christ?
  • Are you a part of the Kingdom of God or partake of the kingdoms of men?
  • Is Christ your Head or appointed men?
  • Does the Holy Spirit guide you or man?
  • Is your standard the word of God or the traditions of man?
  • Do you have God’s revelation or something from man's imagination?
  • Do you portray the image of Christ or a religious brand name?
  • Are you expanding God’s Kingdom or man's kingdom?

The Beast Exposed in Scripture

"Show the house to the house of Israel THAT THEY MAY BE ASHAMED OF THEIR INIQUITIES, and let them measure the pattern." - Ezekiel 43:10

"THE TRUMPET OF THE LORD IS SOUNDING AN ALARM TO GOD'S HOLY REMENANT to 'come out of her My people, that you be not partakers of her sins and that you receive not of her plagues.'" - Revelation 18:4

"Upon her forehead was a name written, "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS, AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." - Revelation 17:5

FOR THE FLESH SETS ITS DESIRES AGAINST THE SPIRIT, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. - Galatians 5:17

Because THE MIND SET ON THE FLESH IS HOSTILE TOWARDS GOD; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, and THOSE WHO ARE IN THE FLESH CANNOT PLEASE GOD. - Romans 8:7-8

Then I heard one speaking to me from the house, while a man was standing beside me.He said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of My throne and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will dwell among the sons of Israel forever. And the house of Israel will not again defile My holy name, neither they nor their kings, BY THEIR HARLOTRY and by the corpses of their kings when they die, by setting their threshold by My threshold and their door post beside My door post...

...with only the wall between Me and them. And THEY HAVE DEFILED MY HOLY NAME BY THEIR ABOMINATIONS which they have committed. So I have consumed them in My anger.“Now let them put away their harlotry and the corpses of their kings far from Me; and I will dwell among them forever. - Ezekiel 43:6-9

And she called the boy Ichabod, saying, “THE GLORY HAS DEPARTED FROM ISRAEL," BECAUSE THE ARK OF GOD WAS TAKEN and because of her father-in-law and her husband. She said, “The glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God was taken.” - 1 Samuel 4:21-22

The Agenda of the Beast

Feeding the beast is a man-driven self-centred agenda. It is the institutional church system. It is spiritual harlotry that prostitutes to the system of the beast. Many have fallen prey the beast and its overseers that give lip service to Christ, but deny him in practice. Their self-important agendas are about feeding the beast and putting peole under their control rather than uniting with Christ. Membership, participation, sacrifice, experiences and traditions do not lead to freedom, but to bondage and captivity.

Many are confined and trapped in the captivity of the religious four-walls. The pews are feeding troughs for the beast to satisfy its insatiable hunger.

Today, what is called a 'Christian' in the church system is the counterfeit of a follower of Christ.

The driving ambitions of man are meant to deceive, control and bilk people of growing and maturing in Christ. The façades of religion will take your flesh, blood, spirit and soul and hand it over to the beast institution that claims to give life and liberty, but really leads to oppression, bondage and spiritual death.

The hands of deceit.
The hands of deceit.

Don't fall for those who want to offer you their different brands of Gospel. They will lure you in with their bait tactics because they want fresh meat to feed the beast.

“As for you, son of man, DESCRIBE THE TEMPLE TO THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL, THAT THEY MAY BE ASHAMED OF THEIR INIQUITIES; and let them measure the plan.“If they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the design of the house, its structure, its exits, its entrances, all its designs, all its statutes, and all its laws. And write it in their sight, so that they may observe its whole design and all its statutes and do them....

“This is the law of the house: its entire area on the top of the mountain all around shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house. - Ezekiel 43:10-12

Then there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, “GET UP AND MEASURE THE TEMPLE OF GOD AND THE ALTAR, AND THOSE WHO WORSHIP IN IT. - Revelation 11:1

What takes precedence in your life?

Man's religious schemes or the way of Christ?

Stop buying into the deception of feeding the beast or allowing others to feed you to it. It will only bring death and destruction.

What is called 'church' today is a beast with an insatiable hunger. It requires compliance, sacrifice and it control over you. It hungers for you and will reach out to you. It wants you or someone else to be a sacrifice upon its altar. It wants your flesh, blood, soul and spirit.

Get out while you still can.

Thanks for the addition of a pertinent Scripture verse.

The promoters of the "beast" never come as servants of Satan, but they come as the "servants of God." That is their disguise. That is why they are are the most dangerous because they pervert and twist the truth. To be blunt, they are satanic emissaries espousing doctrine of demons..

Here is another bible passage describing those who lead in a beast driven system:

But false prophets were also among the people, as also false teachers will be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, and denying the Master who has bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves. (2) And many will follow their destructive ways, by whom the way of truth will be evil spoken of. (3) And by covetousness, with well-turned words, they will use you for gain, for whom judgment of old does not linger, and their destruction does not slumber. 2 Peter 2:1-3 LITV

Thanks for your comment and appreciation.

Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?

      2 Corinthians 13:5

How many of us actually do this or know what this verse truly means? To weigh, test, and examine is a necessity of a believer. Having discernment for ourselves and the extended body of Christ is important in protecting our faith and truth in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

I hear a strong appeal to the church as individuals to examine themselves to see if they be in the Faith of God. It is a matter of the heart. And I believe it's our mandate to cry loud and to put the people in rememberance of what Believers should be focus on (Jesus).

Enemy is so crafty and cunning and if Jesus isn't the center of your living, easily, little by little the evil one sifts like wheat. I appreciate you in the kingdom.

It's obvious the root of those people described in this hub is fear; fear of the 'beast' and fear that they must sacrifice of their own flesh and stay in the system to be the 'savior' of others. The Church feeds the sheep; it does not feed on the sheep. God hasn't given us a spirit of fear and we are not the savior of anyone, only Jesus is. We must stop 'sacrificing' to the 'beast', for obedience to God is better than sacrifice (1 Sam 15:22). Our Sacrifice was already made once and for all by the only Savior, Jesus Christ.

Because there is an outline of the earthly 'church' organization in the Bible, leaders and their followers sometimes end up substituting the 'Church' made without hands for that made with hands. Instead of looking to Christ, they look to their leader(s)...leaders that feed on them, rather than feed them. And the 'flock' does as their 'shepherd' does ~ feed on each other, rather than feed each other.

Excellent hub. Voted up and useful. God bless you!

Always good to hear from you.

It's not what goes on in the man made "four walls", but what goes on in our hearts. So many have it the other way around and think that this is revival, but it is only a form of cotton candy Christianity which gets high on empty calories.

      Harlen Colt,

Thank-you for your no non-sensitivity and bluntness. You tell it like it is my friend.

Is your institution, a substitution for a real relationship with Jesus Christ? So many times this is so true. People gather on Sunday in a building and think that is the church. We as Christians are the church and must take that out to the world.

Wha? mean that super church with the groovy Sunday Morning 90 minute rock concert, and 10 minutes of preaching from a newest watered down Bible version from the Jesus Junk Store... is possibly walking in captivity?

      Surely you jest!

      Praise the Lord.
