Just like salt, essential oils too are used in feng shui to purify and remove negative energy. The oils are also used for relaxation and rejuvenation.

There are three ways essential oils can be diffused into the air of a room:

  • Diffuser
  • Spray Bottle
  • Candles or Incense sticks

Diffuser

The two common types of diffusers used for essential oils are the candle diffuser and the electric diffuser.

The candle diffuser uses a candle to heat the oil and disperse the fragrance throughout the room.

With the electric diffuser the oil is dispersed over a large area of the room unlike the candle diffuser. The electric diffuser can also heat up thicker oils.

Spray Bottle

Essential oils can also be bought in spray bottles.

You can also make your own homemade essential oil using a spray bottle.

Ingredients:

  • 1 spray bottle made from glass
  • Clean pure water
  • For every 2 oz of water add 10 drops of the essential oil.

Method:

Pour the water and oil into the spray bottle and shake well to mix the ingredients. Then use in the preferred room/rooms.

*Do not use spray bottles made of plastic since the essential oils can get spoiled when kept for a long period of time.
