"For there יהוה commanded the blessing, life forever!"
Shalom, all my family and friends- those near, those not so near, and those even further away than that!! יהוה is still reigning His blessings on His children as they seek to give Him glory and honor and praise forever!! Amein!!
Tehillim (Psalms) 133:3--"Like the dew of Hermon, that comes down on the mountains of Tsyion. For there יהוה commanded the blessings, life forever!"
It is so awesome- and this really isn't the right word -to know that יהוה is the One Who commands the blessing of eternal life. And, if we look at the whole chapter of Tehillim (Psalms) 133 (which is only three verses), we can see that it is a praise, a psalm, of unity.
"See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity -
Like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aharon, running down on the collar of his robes -
Like the dew of Hermon, that comes down on the mountains of Tsyion. For there יהוה commanded the blessing, life forever!"
We must understand that when יהוה gives a command, when He commands for something to be done, then we must respond to His command. As I tell my own children, "No ifs, ands, buts, or coconuts!" And, lest we forget, יהוה does not change!
Bemidvar (Numbers) 23:19--"El is not a man, to lie; nor a son of man, to repent! Has He said, and would He not do it; or spoken, and would not confirm it?"
Mal'aki (Malachi) 3:6--"For I am יהוה, I shall not change, and you, O sons of Ya'aqov, shall not come to an end."
Ib'rim (Hebrews) 13:8--"יהושﬠ ha-Meshiach is the same yesterday, and today, and forever."
Ya'aqov (James) 1:17--"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change, nor shadow of turning."
יהוה Does Not Change!
יהוה does not change. It is man(kind) that changes and deems things true when in fact they are not!.
Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 55:11--"So is My Word that goes forth from My mouth - it does not return to Me empty, but shall do what I please, and shall certainly accomplish what I sent it for."
We read in yesterday's devotion (Saturday, March 10th), in Parashat Vayyaqhel, how the Word was given and an action was taken; unity of all is one such Word of יהוה. Unity with one another, regardless of who you are and regardless of whether or not you like so-and-so or so-and-so, is commanded of יהוה; unity is our response to His Word. And יהוה has sent His Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) to provide for us the very gifts we need to make unity happen.
Baruch Adonai yom yom ya'amos ha'El Yeshuateinu.
Blessed be Adonai, who daily carries our burden; the El of our salvation. Selah (Tehillim (Psalms) 68:19)
