Freedom Fighters - Poem

Updated on August 1, 2011

Written 07/04/09 - Poem

Humbly dedicated to those who serve(d), may Liberty & Justice for All Ever Be & Thwart Tyranny

So that we may always be alright
They faced down many a blight
Their vigilance shined bright
Their manner wasn't contrite
To serve - To them a delight
Men from Washington to Dwight
Willing to go fight
Overcoming any fright
Never willing to take flight
Their mission often finite
They'd soar to any height
Pride they did ignite
They sought our Gods insight
Flag flown high like a kite
Their burden never light
They served with all their might
Vigilant all day & night
Freedom was their plight
Through all they were polite
Their determination quite
Fought for what is right
Enemy in their sight
Evil they did smite
Under Heavens starlight
So lets band together tight
And remember them tonight
Towards them do not be trite

To all who've served and are serving, the heart of America is always with you. You are in our Prayers always. May God Bless and be with you all and bring you safely home. THANK YOU!

In Christ
