God And His Sunsets

Updated on April 14, 2011

God And His Sunsets.

“The heavens declare the glory of God,

The skies proclaim the work of His hands.

Day after day, they pour forth speech;

Night after night they display knowledge.

There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard

Their voice goes out into all the earth

Their words to the ends of the world.”

Psalm 19 : 1- 4

One of my favorite ways to take away stress is to take a glance of the skies. Whenever I behold the heavens, I could feel the presence of the Lord. The heavens speak of the glory of God. I feel joy whenever I look at the skies. I sense strongly that God is near and He is watching. Yes God is watching everyday all men’s activities under the sun. Nothing escaped His knowledge.

Particularly during sunsets, when God paints the crimson sky, you can really behold a marvelous work of art. One thing is strikingly admirable about God’s sunset creation is that the scenes are never repeated. Each day has a different sunset from the previous day, There is no exactly the same sunset scene. God’s creativity is indeed awesome.

The sunset is one of the best free thing we enjoy here on this earth. It is given freely to be viewed by all people from all walks of life, from all tribes and cultures, from all nations and races. Both rich and poor, simple and wise, free and slave, either white, brown or black.

This truth implies that God’s love is for all men. God is willing to embrace all men from all races. God is a loving Father who is always willing to give His love to every person.

God has shown His ultimate love when He gave His Son JesusChrist and let Him died on the cross so that you will be redeemed from your sins.

God sent His Son JesusChrist because He wants to give you the best gift, the gift of “eternal life.” As it is written : “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through JesusChrist.” (Romans 6:23). He wants you to spend eternity with Him in His everlasting Kingdom.

God is always willing to paint a new sunset for every passing of a day. So that after a tiresome and stressful day, when you look up to the sky, you will know that He is just there, waiting for you. Talk to Him, He cares about you.
