God Loves You and I

Updated on March 7, 2013

God Loves You and I (A Poem)

G-oing through trials

O-ver and over again

D-irects us to the right path, and

L-eaves nothing for Satan’s wrath;

O-nto an everlasting joy

V-illain one’s defeated

E-very time we rejoice,

S-ing praises and

Y-earn for God’s Word.

O-pening our hearts and mind,

U-nited and intertwined into the

A-mazing presence of our Father;

N-ever to experience suffering or pain

D-evil will no longer gain as we enter

I-nto the Heavenly Kingdom where our Lord will reign.

So, do not fret

Because God is in control.

Leave everything in His capable and mighty hands,

For nothing will ever come between

Our Savior's love and His children.

God will never forsake nor leave us

Remember: Who died on the cross? Jesus!

      Very lovely and sweet poem. It makes a person feel good to read, which is exactly what poetry should do. Love this one!

      Hello Apostle Jack! I, completely, agree with you that we ought to tell the truth. Although I do have another article that I've written and explained why do people lie. Please, visit it when you get a chance, and feel free to comment on it. I highly value my co-hubbers' opinions. Thanks for visiting and commenting. God bless!

      Tell the truth and shame the devil.

      Hello Lita! Yes, I do agree with you that it is much easier for each child to hold a letter and recite the line rather than one child reciting the poem to its entirety. Also, it's more fun since more children get involved this way! Thank you for commenting and sharing your wisdom. Peace and blessings to you, as well!

      This type of poem is called "acrostics". The kids enjoy acrostics. As a former teacher I wrote this type of poem for kids during school programs where each holds a letter and recite the line presented by the letters. It was easier than having just one child recite the entire poem. Peace and God bless!

      I love how you wrote this poem. The words are touching and inspirational, but the way you situated the letters with your title are just catchy. Beautiful! Thanks!
