God Shall Wipe Away All Tears
"God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes ... neither shall there be any more pain"
From the book of Revelation- And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God . And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I ma ke all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son . But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars , shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Not to long ago my father-in-law passed away. To watch the family and even for myself it was painful. It made me think of when I lost my close loved ones. We were all so tired and emotionally drained that we needed extra time off work to recover. When we arrived at the palliative care hospital the doctor said that it would probably only be a few hours. That was on a Saturday and he died on Wednesday. When the family went to the cafeteria or to get some air I said that I would stay with him. I prayed with him and sang some hymns even though he was in a coma like state. To see all of the family come from my mother-in-law's side was touching, there were so many of them and they didn't really know my father-in-law that well. Just the fact that they banded all together for her showed so much love and support. All the touching things that happen were overwhelming for me emotionally. I have shed many tears and will be happy one day when there won't be any more tears.
Won't it be wonderful when there won't be anymore tears to shed, no more pain to feel? We will be drinking from the fountain of the water of life. This means never being thirsty again. Always spiritually refreshed.
How to become an overcomer:
1) Admit you are a sinner and accept Christ as your Saviour
2) Fall in love with him
3) Let JESUS be our vision everyday
