Handmade Cremation Urns

Updated on March 23, 2010

Memorializing Our Loved Ones with Art

Until I put my cat to sleep last year, I didn't really think too much about cremation.  My cat had been a part of my life for several years, and losing her was devastating.  I wanted a remembrance of my pet, but I didn't know how to memorialize her, so in the end we buried our cat in our yard.

Since that time I have discovered a company that creates handmade cremation urns and other memorial products that would have been perfect.  The company is Celebrative Art, a company solely devoted to creating and producing handmade memorial items for cremation, including handmade cremation urns.  These cremation urns are literally pieces of art, made one at a time to hold the ashes of your loved ones.

The handmade cremation urns are really beautiful.  They come in several materials and styles, including wood, ceramic, and glass.  There are full sized urns, and also smaller ones meant just for a memory.

This is what Celebrative Art has to say about their products:

"Our elegant memorial products are completely unique. Because each one has been created individually by the artist, no two are exactly alike. You will not find these products on any other websites, as this collection has been designed exclusively for the clients of Celebrative Art.

Our products are not only functional, but they are exceptional pieces of quality art, all handmade in the U.S.A. Our goal is to help our clients treasure the memory of their loved ones and pets in a visible way that is tasteful, personal and beautiful.

Ceramic Cremation Urns

Celebrative Art has many beautiful handmade cremation urns to choose from. Cremation urns come in the Japanese style pictured above, in three sizes, with various options to color and lid. Other styles include a very tall, elegant ceramic urn with a handled top that has a Chinese feel, and Tie Down Ceramic Urns with elegant weaving tying the lid to the bowl.

Each ceramic urn is made by ceramics artist per order so that each urn is totally unique, made just for the customer. You can order exactly what you like.

Wood Cremation Urns

Wood has always been a warm substance, that gives a welcoming feel to it.  The wood cremation urns provided by Celebrative Art are stunning in both shape and design.

Each wood cremation urn is hand turned per order providing a unique urn per customer order.  Because each piece of wood is unique, you can have several of the same exact urn, and they will still look completely different.

The wood cremation urns come in several sizes and styles including a Grecian style urn.  The woods used are exotic, beautiful woods and wood burls like quilted maple, ebony, blood wood, and zebra wood.

Handmade Glass Cremation Urns

The handmade glass cremation urns are hand blown by a glass artist for each individual order.  Each urn has a unique styling but all of them have the look of an open flower in a vase.  Some of the glass urns are translucent, while others are opaque (blocking light).

Celebrative Art also has some unique keepsake glass urns that can hold a small amount of cremation remains, human hair or your pets fur.  These keepsake urns are meant to hold a memory of your loved one without being a cremation urn.

All of the glass urns are beautifully made, and beautiful pieces of art.

Choosing a Cremation Urn

Choosing a cremation urn for a loved one is a difficult decision.  However, the cremation urn should be one that is pleasing to the eye, and brings fond memories of the person or pet that you have lost.

Celebrative Art carries unique cremation urns that are one of a kind, and made to order so you always know that you have a special memory of your loved one.
