Heaven - The Home That Awaits Us

Updated on August 13, 2011

It’s the destination of all born again Christians. It’s like being on a holiday in paradise forever. It’s where God dwells on the throne over all creation. In heaven you’ll have treasure depending what you did for the Kingdom on earth, multiple story mansions, and every great desire of your heart. When a Man of God called Jesse Duplantis visited heaven, Jesus took him to his mansion. In his mansion were Jesse’s favourite sofas, carpet, decorations and many more things he loves. When Jesse questioned The Lord Jesus simply replied “I love all my children. When they come here I give them all the desires of their heart”. In the presence of God is the fullness of joy.

In heaven our beautiful mountains, all creation is alive, the streets are paved with gold. There’s diamonds, rubies and all precious stones common as pennies are on earth. Fish can live outside of water and will not die; all the plants and flowers are constantly singing praises to God. Each blade of grass has little diamonds engraved onto it. Heaven is truly the place of ultimate beauty, wonder, amazement, adventure. It is the country of God.

In heaven you can travel by golden carriages, flying or if you need to get somewhere fast just think your place there. Yea that’s right, think about a place and your there at the same speed of the thought. There will countless saints, and even more countless amounts of angels. Thousands times thousands times thousands times thousands to be a bit more precise. In heaven there’s perfect order, nothing is out of place. All will be arrayed in beautiful garments fit for the most honoured and glorious kings. People will wear victorious crowns of an overcomer. The very air we’ll breathe will be the love of God. Not toxins, smoke or carbon dioxide but every breath will be the eternal exhale of God. WOW!

At the very centre of heaven will be the most majestic person, sitting on the most glorious throne, with holy creatures around Him, a rainbow above Him and dazzling, unblinding light. It will be THE FATHER HIMSELF, with JESUS sitting at the right, inside of HIM.

Heaven is the ultimate home and destination for the faithful in Christ. It's this hope of a perfect dwelling place that enables us to endure through the turbulences of life on Earth as a believer. This is what makes prayer so vital. For the duration of time we can enter into the atmosphere of heaven, dwelling in the presence of God. While on Earth we can begin to reach out for heavenly realities. This is why instructed to prayer in this manner "Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done, On Earth as it is In Heaven"

As glorious as your description is, I believe it pales to what will actually be for we cannot comprehend the things of God.
