Hell is Here on Earth
People say that life on Earth is hell. Hell IS here on Earth. Hell is all around because it is not in some far-off place or at the center of the Earth. We cannot dig down to the devil or step on his head. He walks the earth us. Earth sustains children of God both living, dead, and unborn. It sounds like the name of a movie:
The Living, The Dead and The Unborn, in a theatre near you!
All of humanity, the dead, the living, and the unborn, inhabit this planet at the same time.
Latter-day prophets have said that the spirits of those who have died are not far from us. President Ezra Taft Benson said
Sometimes the veil between this life and the life beyond becomes very thin. Our loved ones who have passed on are not far from us” (in Conference Report, Apr. 1971, 18; or Ensign, June 1971, 33). President Brigham Young taught that the postmortal spirit world is on the earth, around us (see Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Brigham Young [1997], 279). [1]
Dead People Live On Earth
Those who have NOT yet been resurrected live here on Earth, which means heaven is also here on Earth. I will re-emphasize: The devil and one-third of the host of heaven, 7 billion+ living people, and all dead people since Adam who have NOT been resurrected simultaneously inhabit Earth.
We have the metaphysics and physics and laws of "this" and "that" that speak of dimensions and such. All these mysteries exist since science cannot explain everything yet, and humanity cannot afford to dismiss anything.
Alma teaches in The Book of Mormon that as soon as we die, whether we are good or evil we return to that God who gave us life in Alma chapter 40. He teaches implicitly that our visit with God is a partial judgment to assign us to paradise/heaven or prison/hell.
We will receive a complete judgment upon resurrection and be rewarded for our deeds. If they have been evil, our mansion will be appropriately made. If we have been good, the same applies, in all degrees of our goodness. I cannot judge individual salvation because my Master prohibits it, seeing as I do not know the hearts of individuals as He does.
I know that we all have a mansion or a shack figuratively speaking awaiting us when we die. A small few have a hell that only they will know.
The devil and one-third of the host of heaven, 7 billion+ living people, and all dead people since Adam who have NOT been resurrected simultaneously inhabit Earth.
People Stay On Earth Until Resurrected.
Hell is a psychological function of the mind, and those who must endure it will not leave that state until they have paid the price of all their sins. Then will they be resurrected at the end of the reign of Christ on Earth, a thousand years before the wars of Gog and Magog mentioned in The Holy Bible.
Speculatively,
It may not seem like much in writing, but living without a body after having had one is not a pleasant experience. Having eaten a hamburger, it is hard to think of life without ever having one again. Amputees experience what unembodied spirits endure. The only difference is, that instead of appendages and digits missing, an entire body is missing. People adjust, but not having fully functional parts whether it is the entire body or just parts of it creates a longing for the flesh, the connection between the spirit and the flesh.
Some amputees speak of having an itch on the missing limb. They cannot scratch something that is not there. Their brains are remembering the missing appendages sending echoes of what it was to once have that appendage.
Our spirits will have echoes of the body we once occupied and long for its return, which is a free gift from God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Some of us will have to wait until the end of the reign of Christ, which will be torturous for the unrepentant.
Done Speculating
The righteous will have freedom of movement and revelation just as they enjoyed in life, and more without the limitation of a mortal physical body that has to sleep, get sick, or die. The righteous too will long for a physical body that is perfect without disease and limitations of mortal bodies. When Jesus Calls, the righteous will be resurrected.
The righteous will have learned to master their mortal bodies in this mortal life so that they will not yearn and suffer as will the wicked. All must master their physical appetites in this life, mortality, or suffer the yearnings in the next life without a physical body to satisfy them. Hell, talk about craving cheesecake every blinking moment with no way to satisfy it. Again, I say hell.

Unborn Spirits Live On Earth
Billions of people are all here right now occupying the same space, but un-attuned mortals, which many of us are at times, cannot see the dead. It is a cultural practice of many to say, "I know my (insert loved one) is watching over me."
In truth, the righteous dead do see us and pray for us as we live out our lives because they are here. The spirits of these people see us the same way we see them. I assume they are no more permitted to interact with us than mortal humans are permitted to interact with them. The sentiments of Joseph F. Smith apply here in my mind. Smith states,
I claim that we live in their [the departed] presence, they see us, they are solicitous for our welfare, they love us now more than ever. For now they see the dangers that beset us; they can comprehend better than ever before, the weaknesses that are liable to mislead us into dark and forbidden paths. They see the temptations and the evils that beset us in life and the proneness of mortal beings to yield to temptation and to wrong doing; hence their solicitude for us and their love for us and their desire for our well being must be greater than that which we feel for ourselves. [2]
Millions of Saints, consider President Smith a prophet and believe that the righteous dead see us and are among us. The evil dead do not see us because they are busy suffering. Some are not aware they are dead possibly but not mandatorily.
The devil and one-third of the host of heaven cast down to Earth are the unborn, or demons, as it is popular to call them. Because we all are children of God, Satan and those who followed him rejected the opportunity to experience mortality when they rebelled against God in heaven; hence, they are unborn.
Billions or trillions, a countless number of these unborn children of God occupy Earth with the billions and trillions of living and deceased children of God while yet other numberless spirits remain in heaven awaiting entry to life. All of heaven will one day be represented on this planet in one form or another.
- Mortals = Living
- Deceased = Dead Mortals
- Unborn = Demons and the Devil
Hell, in any form, is not permanent on Earth. Hell on Earth remains as long as there a people who refuse to live the commandments of God. After the final resurrections and the end of the final wars, the Earth will become the abode for only those who have become joint-heirs with Christ. All other people will go to places prepared for them and their level of obedience. Demons and the devil know this and recruit mortals who listen to disobey the commands of God. Few people will deserve to go to where Satan and his demons go. Most people will receive varying degrees of glory as bright as the sun down to the twinkling of a distant and faint star.
The majority of God's children born will enjoy their lives after resurrections. Those who followed Satan before birth, and a few who chose him after their births will go to outer darkness, another place worse than any imaginable hell. Thankfully. outer darkness is never on Earth.
I know that we all have a mansion or a shack figuratively speaking awaiting us when we die--and some small few have a hell that only they will know.
Wisdom Does No Come Just Because We Die.
Also, a point of interest, we are no more wise than we are in this life without faith. Death will not bring to us sure knowledge of something we did not believe before we perished. There are Christians teaching the spirits of men in the spirit world as there are Christians who teach it here in the land of the living.
In other words, a Baptist is still a Baptist, a Muslim is still a Muslim, a Hebrew is still a Hebrew, and so on and so forth. Only those of us who are open to the Spirit of truth will learn here in this life or in the next towards progression. God does not force any truth upon his children at any stage of our lives--here or the next.
What do you think?
Does it make sense to you that heaven and hell would be here on Earth?
These teachings may be uniquely taught by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but more people believe this way. As mentioned before, people believe that their loved ones are watching them or that evil spirits of the dead are haunting them from the grave. Millions of accounts of people exist, written and verbal, of times when people thought they saw a departed loved one filling them with either peace or dread.
There is an understanding among many people that after someone dies, his or her spirit exists and must enter a door to pass on to whatever lies behind it. Many people believe that those who enter a version of hell where the most horrendous fears repeat for eternity. That hell is based on the sufferer's mortal experience and is depicted in many popular shows, such as Supernatural or Lucifer.
The Scriptures teach that "it is requisite with the justice of God that men should be judged according to their works; and if their works were good in this life, and the desires of their hearts were good, that they should also, at the last day, be restored unto that which is good. And if their works are evil they shall be restored unto them for evil. Alma 40:3-4
