Hello God - are you there?
Jesus says: "Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest"
Gods love for the hurting
The Lord placed a heavy burden in my heart this weekend. I felt the need to write this hub and remind those who are hurting about God's amazing Love! I know there are so many people out there in the world who are hurting spiritually, physically and emotionally. We all have days when things overwhelm us to the point of wanting to give up - but don't - God wants you to know that Jesus can heal you everywhere you hurt - and that he LOVES you so much, you will never be able to fully understand it.
Romans 8:38-39 reminds us of his awesome love: "And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can't, and life can't. The Angels can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can't keep God's love away. Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord"
So as you read these poems and psalms - have "faith" and "believe" he is there for you during your troubles and trials. He will never leave you nor forsake you - he has proven that time and time again......you are his child and you are so precious to Him!
Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever!
A poem to remind us he is there.....
Hello God, I called tonight to talk a while.
I need a friend who'll listen at my anxiety and trials.
You see, I can't quiet make it through a day just on my own.
I need your Love to guide me, so I'll never feel alone.
I want to ask you please to keep, my family safe and sound.
Come and fill their lives with confidence for whatever fate they've bound.
Give me faith, Dear God, to face each hour throughout the day.
And not to worry over things I can't change anyway.
I thank you God, for being home and listening to my call.
For giving me such good advice when I stumble and fall.
Your number, God, is the only one, that answers every time.
I never get a busy signal, never had to pay a dime.
So thank you God for listening to my troubles and my sorrow.
Good night, God, I love you too, and I'll call again tomorrow.
A psalm by David to calm the spirit during trouble times.....
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare of the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I am trusting him.
For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from the fatal plague. He will shield you with his wings.
He will shelter you with his feathers. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor fear the dangers of the day.
Nor dread the plaque that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.
But you will see it with your eyes; you will see how the wicked are punished. If you make the Lord your refuge, if you make the Most High your shelter, no evil will conquer you; no plaque will come near your dwelling.
For he orders his Angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you with their hands to keep you from striking your foot on a stone. You will trample down lions and poisonous snakes; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!
The Lord says: "I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name.
When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue them and honor them. I will satisfy them with a long life and give them my salvation"
Comfort words in the bible!!
Be Still and Know that I am God!
Put on the armour of God every day.......
The enemy of this world is busy trying to destroy relationships, marriages and families, don't be caught without a spiritual weapon, as we read what the Apostle Paul wrote to the Christians in the book of Ephesians.
Be strong with the Lord's mighty power. Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.
Use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy in the time of evil, so that after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the sturdy belt of "truth" and the body armor of God's righteousness. For shoes, put on the "peace" that comes from the Good News, so that you will be fully prepared. In every battle you will need "faith" as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. Put on the "salvation" as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the "word of God". "Pray" at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians everywhere.
At this time I want to ask everyone to please place in prayer the Gulf of Mexico - my family lives there and it looks like a hurricane could be heading in that direction. God Bless!
Enjoy this song....Holy is the Lord!!
