Homosexuality/Why Is God Angry At Sinful People?

Updated on October 14, 2009

Homosexuality is openly advertised as an "Alternative " Lifestyle. However, the Bible clearly declares homosexuality to be sin.

It is sin because it is contrary to principles of sexuality that God established. When people choose to be homosexuals, they reject God's principles of sexuality. Romans 1:18-32 explains how this comes about.

It is sin because the Bible refers to it as evil. See 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; See also Leviticus 18:22-23; and Romans 1:21-27

It is sin which comes under divine judgment, Romans 1:18. see also Genesis 19:4-11;24-25; Genesis 19 city of Sodom where the sin of homosexuality was widespread.( see also 2 Peter 2:6 and Jude 7.

Why God Is Angry At Sinful People?

Because they have substituted the truth about Him with a fantasy of their own imagination. See Romans 1:25; They have stifled the truth God naturally reveals to all people in order to believe anything that supports their own self-centered life-styles.

God cannot tolerate sin because His nature is morally perfect. God wants to remove the sin and restore the sinners. God is able as long as the sinner does not stubbornly distort or reject the truth.

It is so good to know that there are clear thinking, non compromising believers left on this planet! Thank you, Lord!

I agree that God hates sin and I agree that homosexuality is sin. I think we focus too much on the "hot" topics and not enough on things that are tearing the church up and keeping us from pointing people to the LORD ie: When we gossip like the rest of the world, or lie or cheat others in business etc...which happens all the time with churched folks. In the eyes of God it is sin if I fail to do what I know is right - so I don't even have to do something "bad" to sin - but simply choose not to do the right thing. Also in the eyes of God ALL sexual immorality is sin and to go even a step further that sin of lying is equally as distasteful to God as the sin of homosexuality. I do know that I am thankful that I am one who is forgiven.

Love your heart for God and your desire to love Him more - be blessed.

Thinking from a human prospective I think it would be fair to say "Love the Homosexual" but "Hate the sin".

I can't agree with the lifestyle no matter what label the world attaches to it, but I do know that I am called to love the person.

      Many Blessings Betty

Bless you! This is much needed. God is speaking...

We are living in the last days. All the signs are here! So many are being deceived, evil is called good and good evil. It is so important to have an ongoing growing relationship with the Lord and know His Word! The Lord knew way back then what would be happening now! This is why we have His word that confirms how we should live! People tend to believe lies more than TRUTH! His Word is often perverted to satisfy the carnal man or woman. This further divides us. It is important to KNOW what you believe! Sin hurts, people, families, relationships and the world at large. Many continue to be deceived!

Homosexuality abandons the natural sexual relationship between a man and a woman. This has become acceptable to the world as an alternative lifestyle as well as in some places of worship? Infidelity is just as bad as homosexuality they are outside the will of the Lord! LORD HELP US! Neither are acceptable in the eyes of God! God has given numerous illustrations of His distaste for this IN HIS WORD. Homosexuality is strictly forbidden. ALL His WORD is TRUE!

As you come to truly know the Lord and are committed to His Word you should never try to use His Word to justify wrong behavior in yourself or anyone else. You sincerely seek TRUTH because you realize” The TRUTH sets you FREE!” Not free to do as you please! But FREE to live to please God and not man! Absolutely nothing gets by God! I am PRO MARRIAGE!!! God’s design for sex is within a committed Marriage between One man and One woman!!! God’s design for the sexual relationship has not changed !!!

I recommend to please think hard and long before you consider or stay in a homosexual relationship. I have seen much destruction because of this. Lord help the children! The world continues to embrace the very things that go against God’s design for life and living. God’s Word is being fulfilled in these last days! God is a forgiving God ! As you surrender your will to Him He is ABLE to deliver you from this bondage. His Mercy, Grace, Peace, Love, Joy and understanding is readily available as you REPENT and turn to Him!

I agree with all the above. It is the sin God hates.

I agree with you that God hates sin. But I also know God loves the sinner, of whom I am one. For this I am thankful. I think your article is based on truth, but perhaps you over stated your point. "God is mad at sinners". I have to think on that one. He is perfect and just and can not tolerate sin. However, He provides a way for all of us sinners to come to Him through Jesus. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." "The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ His son." Romans 6:23, and 3:23. It is important to note that God for a short time will 'wink' at sin. Meaning, He is tolerating

a sinful world. Holding back His wrath. But one day He will no longer do so, and every "knee will bow".

Your hub is thought provoking, and there is no argument with the scriptures you quote. I just think God is not so much mad at the sinner as He is at the sin. If it weren't for His mercy, we would all be consumed.

You got it. God is angry with sin because with sin comes death, and God hates that anyone should die, hence why he hates sin.
