He is always near

It is in the difficult times we learn the most about Him

Draw Near to Him so he will be Near to You

Do you thank God for the difficult times?

Now why should I thank God for times of trouble or pain or sorrow you may humpfully say?

Well the best reason I can think of is because of two things.

Number one: It is in difficult times when we learn the most. Speaking personally it was in my most painful and difficult time that the understanding of Jesus became real to me.

It is when you are at the end of your rope you understand the importance of surrendering all to Jesus. Who better to trust? If He created all of the universe and that which is in it (and He did) do you seriously think your puny problem is too difficult for Him to handle.Oh it is not puny to you, but it is to Him.

He longs to help you, but you must call upon Him first. Jesus never comes uninvited. Next you must listen to His advice (This is accomplished by Bible study-get a Bible Concordia on line prefer Type in your problem, for example fear. Then read the verses that come up. Sometimes you may have to read them a few times. After that pray to Jesus to give you strength to obey His suggestion to you, Jesus never tell you to do anything he merely suggests, you have free will on whether to obey or not. Then, take action in faith that that which was revealed to you is the best course of action to handle the situation.

Finally when the situation is resolved do not forget to give thanks to Jesus for His divine superior guidance He so graciously gave you.

As gold is purified in the furnace, so the faithful heart is purified by sorrow.

The next reason I can think of giving thanks for times of difficulties is because when you come through on the other side you will have a much deeper love relationship with Jesus. That in of itself is worth the experience. The pain and trouble will seem like a pebble in the shoe compared to the exhalation of joy that you will experience in your relationship with Jesus.

I speak from experience. And, it is an experience that is and will continue to expand until the day my King comes to take me to be with Him in Heaven.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Immanuel, God amongst us, for the privilege of the difficult times. Because of these difficult times, I have received the wonderful experience of drawing closer to You. I give thanks in the name of Him experience extreme difficulties because of His divine love for me Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
